  • The AF300A is an excellent shredder for specific applications
Style: AF300A
This is a solid shredder that does its job and is much better than the staples brand shredder we had before. It does have a specific use though. If, like us, your intention is to get through years worth of shredding, you may be better off getting two of the Boxis AS120s. What you are paying for in the AF300A vs the AF120 is a higher capacity load tray (300 pages vs 120), higher capacity bin and locking ability. We have yet to use the lock ability as it is for personal use. If your intention is to use it periodically throughout the day in a common space, this is an ideal shredder. It is not ideal for sustained use, however. I can typically run 600 pages (two loads of the max capacity back to back) before the temperature safety shuts the machine down and it takes about an hour to shut down. Our AF120 has less capacity, but it seems to run much longer even back to back. If I were to do it again I would likely buy 2-3 AF120s for the same price. This is not the fault of the manufacturer, however and preforms well for its intended use, thus the 5 stars. Also: my machine came with one of the rolling wheels smashed (likely the shipper handling the box really rough as one of the corners of the box was caved in), I contacted boxis directly and they sent me out a new set of wheels quickly and for free. Its nice to know they stand by their product and have invested in solid customer service. ... show more

  • Used for only a month
Style: AF120
Bought August 30th, delivered Sept 3rd - JAMMED OCT 4TH!! I got a month's worth out of it. I didn't stuff the machine up with 10 pages or more at a time. I used the auto feature where it took a page at a time. It was going great until it obviously didn't. I even used shredding lubricated sheets during my month's use. But still, after a month, the shredder gears jammed and now won't move at all. Disappointed with this product for the amount of money spent on it. ... show more

  • Not worth the money.
Style: AF70
For the price, this shredder is a joke. Its very small and has a very small paper container. Constantly jamming, my cheap little ( actually bigger) Staples shredder out performs it side by side. Not worth 180.00, maybe 75.00. Used it for about 2 hours. Gave up on it.

  • This is the best paper shredder I’ve ever owned.
Style: AF70
About 5 years ago, I owned a paper shredder I bought on Amazon. The Amazon Basics brand, and man it was a pain in the you know what. Since then, I’ve been looking for a top quality paper shredder since then and I’ve found one with the Boxis AF70. Use: This paper shredder is everything I hoped it would be. Two slots for your paper, one is auto feed and one is a manual feed. You can shred up to 70 sheets and 8 cards at a time. So far, I’ve shredded about 30 papers at a time and I’ve had no problems with it jamming. The waste bin slides out and it’s easy to clean. Cleaning: This paper shredder comes with 8-10 pre lubed sheets so you don’t have to worry about using paper shredder oil separately. I recommend you use one of those lube sheets every month. It comes with a liner bag you can line the waste bin with. However, I recommend you don’t use the liner bag. When you start seeing debris from the shreds, take a disinfected wipe, a paper towel, and wipe inside the bin. The yellow light won’t go off if you don’t line the bin properly with the bag. I personally don’t use the bag. No wonder this paper shredder always sells out. It’s a top of the line quality paper shredder. Highly recommended you buy it. It’s on wheels too so you can roll it anywhere and you can lock the wheels so it won’t roll if you want too. ... show more

  • Self-Feeding Boxis AutoShred 120-Sheet Shredder
Style: AF120
I bought this because I have a lot of old paperwork to shred from years ago, and I didn't want to stand and feed it all in piece by piece. We are just regular homeowners, non-business. While I don't load it up fully (yet) I can put a stack of about 20 sheets in there and at least walk away and do something else. It says 120-sheet feed, but I'm cautious yet. Many of my papers are stapled in the corner. It does handle staples. I will give it a run for it's money, but I won't try to wreck it. It has a pull-out basket, which I like. The last shredder I had, I had to lift off the shredder head to empty the basket, and it was heavy. This has rollers on the bottom to move it around. It is still a shredder that makes noise, but not as bad as others I have had. It came with a pack of Shredder Lubricant sheets to try, which I haven't yet and a couple of sample bags you can put in the basket part. I tried that, but it seems to be more of a mess than just emptying the basket into a larger garbage bag. It will smell hot if you use it continuously, so you will want to let it rest in between several papers. I was able to use some Amazon Rewards to help with the cost, too. I am happy with it so far, and my daughters have shredder envy going on...lol. ... show more
