  • Update: Still need to test replacement, but 5 Stars for Customer service
I wanted to update my review to include the quality of customer service offered by Bouge Rv. After posting my review, I was contacted by Sam, at Bouge Rv. First I was proactivly offered additional calibration info, but when my panel still didn't produce more than 50% of advertised wattage they sent me a free replacement. Great job Sam! I haven't had a chance to test the replacement panel, but but when I do, I will update my review again with the results. For now I'm giving them 5 Stars for their dedication to customer service. I finaly got around to unboxing my 100w Cigs panel today. I had high hopes for it, but unfortunatley I'm not happy with its power production. It is very lightweight and flexible, but try as I might, I could not get even close to the advertised 100 Watt output. Let me start by saying, I'm pretty sure I got a returned unit, as there was animal fur all over the panel when I pulled it out of the box. Aside from the fur, the panel appeared to be in good shape, so I carried it outside along with my small solar generator. The battery was at 60% SOC. The built in mppt charge controler allows for 120W solar input, so it should have worked beautifully. However the panel only provided about 55 Watts while still cool from the air conditioning, and after a few minutes in the sun the output dropped to a measly 40 Watts in full sunlight. I tried a few different positions, but I soon realized that 40-45 Watts was going to be as good as this panel gets. I'm so disappointed, I need the lightweight flexible design for my application, but at a cost of over $4 per Watt (real world) I can't recommend this product. The semi flexible panels are much more affordable, and similar weight. I haven't decided if I'm going to return it yet, as I still need a truly flexible panel for my installation, but with only half the rated output wattage I'll need at least 1 more to provide the necessary power for the build, and at $200 each I simply can't afford to double the budget for panels. ... show more

  • These are awesome!
Size: 200W, Pre-Punched
They out-produce my old panels, and put out much closer to the rated output. My old cheap chinese panels were supposed to be 100 watts each, and I was only getting 21 watts each out of them. These are 200 watts each and I am getting 150-175 in fall weather in New England. When spring comes, I expect them to get very close to rated power. I installed them on top of the sunbrella canvas bimini on my sailboat with rare earth magnets. I bolted 8 magnets to the grommets on the panels, laid them on top of the bimini, and went underneath and put a second magnet below at each of the 8 locations. Has held great in winds up to 35 mph so far worked great! ... show more

  • Love these!!
Size: 200W, Tape
Oh man I’m so happy with these. Purchased two 200-watt CIGS with tape. Got them at a screaming deal also, for around $440 each. I was so tired of lugging around a portable panel to keep our battery charged while RVing, but also was not into placing multiple holes in our roof. One hole, to run the wires, is enough for me. These have been installed on our roof (in parallel) for just over two weeks and they’re already impressing us. It’s only been parked in our driveway (in Southern California end of august), but it’s been a great test so far, as we’ve had all kinds of weather. 2 x 200-watt panels connected in parallel: HOT, sunny weather (95°+): averaging around 260 - 300 watts. RAINY/CLOUDY: Even in complete cloud cover or actual rain, we saw as high as 150 watts. COOLER (not cold), sunny weather (by SoCal standards - which is around 80°f or less): We are actually getting in excess of 400 watts (as high as 427) around noon. This keeps our batteries (200 Ah lithium) topped up almost everyday. It fell to around 90% on days when there was 2 days of consecutive cloud cover. Admittedly, we aren’t running any high power demand appliances, but am happy to know it’ll keep the fridge, lights, water pump, and water heater running almost indefinitely, if required. Install was incredibly easy and they ain’t budging with that tape. ... show more

  • Test panels prior to install.
Size: 200W, Tape
**UPDATE*** Seller sent a replacement panel for the one that was having issues. Definitely great cosomer service. Very responsive, I recommend this company! I wasn't going to bother them about it but they reached out and took care of it themselves. One of the panels is producing less than rated. I bought 2 panels 200W. Not sure if the seller will make it right. I stuck them on the truck already. ... show more

  • Quality solar panel with excellent output
Size: 100W (Long), Tape
Installed on top of my iKamper rooftop tent, the adhesive is rock solid and made installation super easy. the cabling is quality and well done. I've been very happy with the output - works great to keep my batteries charged and ready to go at all times.

  • issues of adhesive, After-sales worst customer service
Size: 200W, Pre-Punched
The chewing gum was used as an adhesive, and strong winds easily lifted the entire piece off, breaking the connecting wire and shattering the rear window glass. Then the seller went back and forth and said it was refunded but never received a refund. Finally, the seller sent a message every day saying that he asked me to find the missing and damaged part that was blown away by the wind. The essence is just a plan to waste my time. ... show more

  • much lighter than rigid panels
Size: 100W (Compact). Pre-Punched
I use this with my minivan camping setup to charge up my external battery. I can lay it down on my roof, and it's much stealthier than traditional solar panel setups. And I can lean it up against the car to increase output, when I don't need the stealth. And it's so light, it's easy to move around. The size makes it a little bulky. (Those folding panels would be easier to store.) But this has a much better size-to-output ratio, and the folding panels I saw all had cheap PWM chargers on them, which I don't need. There are cheaper solar panels out there, if you don't need the flexibility or weight savings. ... show more
