So I ordered this as I am not handy when it comes to crafty, sewing type things, however there is no one local to repair my favorite pairs if pants that just need a little stitch or two (straight!). This is exactly what I needed. Taking out of the box was my first impression. The instructions were extremely easy to read and I understood exactly. I now have 6 pair of "my favorite" pairs of work pants just like new again! For the price I was expecting the machine to do bare minimum. Claims to be able to sew through multiple layers, that is false. The needle broke sewing a hem on regular fabric. I thought it was the fabric (the needle had consistent issues piercing) but that caused it to bend and hit the metal plate, boom it snapped. Already on my second needle and it does the same thing. Now the needle is bent and I’m annoyed. Do the buttons on the side even work? And the foot pedal? Is for a small child not an adult. Definitely not impressed. ... show more

The needle was out of alignment when it arrived. We decided to deal with it since it was a gift for our daughter for Christmas and she was excited to use it. However, the first “big” project came along (baby blanket) and we couldn’t finish because the machine kept locking up and jamming. So frustrating! Supper easy to use, I instantly fell in love with mine. It’s not to big nor to small perfect to take with you for on the road sewing. It can be hard at first to understand but after getting a hold of it and understanding the machine it’ll be easier and faster. Great for beginners and also very cheap
