Style: Combo Amp
This thing sounds beasty and noticably clearer than other combo amps I've used in a practice setting at loud volumes with my band including drummer (loud, acoustic drumset) in a small room. Loud and clear describes it perfectly. Nice resonant clean tones, nice crunch, and of course, the brown sound (is fantastic). There is a lot of customizability with these tones, and it's very easy to dial in something that just sounds beautiful. This thing is also capable of going nice and quiet if you are in your apartment or whatever -- you can adjust the wattage settings (0.5W, 50W, and 100w). You can be loud and clear, or quiet and clear. ... show more

  • Booming wall of sound, excellent tone flexibilty!
Style: Combo Amp
Super sounds! A bit daunting to program at first, but it becomes more intuitive as you experiment with the tones. Actually difficult to find a bad tone. I had a lot of fun once I got used to how it works. It solved a lot of live tone issues and puts out a big, big sound. The speaker is excellent and the direct feature just streamlines the whole live sound process. I was apprehensive at first, since I've been using the same live rig for almost 30 years...but now I'm so glad to have it and I wouldn't hesitate buying another one! ... show more

  • Wrong and insufficient product information on the pictures
Style: Combo Amp
The pictures showed multi-voltage compatibility 100-240V, I just bought one, I am upset, cause it came only 110V (US option) compatible! Made in Malaysia.

  • It's great!
Style: Combo Amp
I wondered why it was selling so well, why the reviews were so good. I needed a lighter weight amp, and own some great tube amps that don't like moving around a lot. The Katana MKII Artist sounds great and is far more luggable than my Rivera. It's a deep system, you'll want to hook it up to a computer to use Tone Studio to dial it in. Get the GA-FC to really appreciate it's power. Great tones, reasonable cost, lightweight. ... show more

  • If playing a large gig amp must be miced! Boss needs to up the wattage to 120 or 130 watts ,
Style: Combo Amp
The most important thing about this Amp that people need to know is that Boss should immediately release a 212 Version and up the wattage to 120 watts! We were rehearsing at my house with a drummer, a bass player playing through my Peavey Triple XXX 212 , two keyboard players playing thru my Roland Jc 120 and the Boss Katana Artist could barely keep up! We play R&B and a few rock songs ! None of us were miked thru a P.A. On any gig I never used to turn my Jc -120 past 3 and on the Peavey Triple XXX never past 4 . These two amps are both rated at 120 watts and have 2x12 speakers! ... show more
