Nothing about it is great - the touch screen is just ok, it can be a little hard to see in bright light, the back up camera is better than the cheap looking camera suggests and the sound quality was good enough. got this for my son to upgrade in his honda accord. got an open box that appears to have been never used. works as i hoped . seems high quality . the included camera on the other hand?? MEH. it's low res. nothing special but it's part of the package. sound is quite good , touch screen is responsive and bright. it felt super light so i was concerned it would be crappy sounding but not so. well well worth the little it costs. ... show more

Good head unit for the price and capabilities. Android auto and Apple car play thru the USB works well. Installation is straight forward and the capacitive touchscreen is way better then the cheaper touch screen models. Display is reactive and works with one press most of the time. Boot up time is about 10 seconds but the camera input comes on after about 5 seconds from a dead start so backing up is almost instantaneous when shifting into reverse. Plenty of microphone cable. Interesting the lower model has a built in mic but this one requires an external connection. Camera is VGA quality but gets the job done, a bit grainy. Mine is hooked up to an amp so I can't say much about power output. Screen can be a little dim I'm bright situations but usable. Overall for what I need in added a backup camera to a car that didn't have one, I would say this is a win. Adds modern features in an all-in-one package. ... show more

Very responsive and sounds great, great features and videos look great and sound awesome. I don’t have the rear view camera hooked up but I may purchase a camera down the road. The only con for me is talking while in Apple play. I hear the same from everyone about this and it is that you won’t have a problem but the caller will hear there echo which will be annoying for them but if you call or get a call make sure you do it in Bluetooth without being hooked in to Apple play and they will not have an echo. I don’t understand and I wish there was settings so you could fix this because sometimes you may want to talk to someone while you are using the gps in Apple play but I couldn’t find that setting to fix it so I will live with it. More expensive head units have settings for the mic but this one does not and I heard it could be fixed if you could update the Apple play but you can’t so before you purchase you may want to think about if this is important to you but besides that this is a very nice budget car stereo and it is still worth the money ... show more

I bought this to replace a Pioneer unit that burnt out after 8 years and multiple cars. Installation was easy, and the CarPlay worked great at first. Now it constantly disconnects, drops connections and after troubleshooting anything I could think of, this unit is defective. The sound quality is worse than the Pioneer I had before, even after tuning through the EQ and my phone, very muddy bass and muffled treble. It works great i installed it on my 2000 Lexus ls400. The screen is responsive. The frame rate does suck especially when you're scrolling through Spotify. But I've never seen a radio that didn't lag, so i won't even blame it for that. Android auto works fantastic. (If it's not working for you, or it keeps saying you need to have the parking brake on, change the wire you're using. I thought my radio was broken. But then i switched to the OEM charging wire that came with my phone instead of the aftermarket one i had, and android auto worked instantly. Do not use cheap wires with android auto. I have a oneplus 9) So yeah pretty great, the screen is very bright. The sound equalizing does the job. And the resolution of the screen does suck, but against it's $300, so i don't expect it to be phenomenal. Overall i got exactly what I paid for and i love it. And the connections is flawless, their is almost no delay at all when i skip a track or pause, which shocked me. ... show more

I have had this for several months now so I feel like I can give a good review. I have not been able to use the Apple CarPlay function yet because the guys who installed that did not hook up my cable to the USB port (its in the back of the body of this system so it’s super hard to reach). Apple CarPlay only works when the phone is plugged in to the system - does not work via Bluetooth - so I can’t review that part! The touch works great and in all other ways it works fine. However, the Bluetooth is really spotty. My phone will randomly be disconnected, sometimes won’t connect unless I turn my car off then back on which reboots the system, and will at times get patchy even when the phone is connected. So that’s really frustrating considering it’s supposed to be a good system with a working Bluetooth function. I’ve been overall unimpressed with this system but that is solely because of the Bluetooth issues. I couldn’t give it a low rating just because of that because all other things I’ve been able to try are fine. We still need to hook up the back up camera and the Apple CarPlay. The microphone for hands free talking is not great. Sound quality for the person on the other end is poor, and if you try to voice text it misunderstands every word which Is hilarious but also annoying 😂 It’s not a BAD system by any means, it just disappointed me with the Bluetooth function being so poor. I’m still holding out for the CarPlay! That was the whole reason I got it so I’m ready to use it. ... show more

added this to my 22-year-old Mazda truck so i could have amazon auto. Came with a backup camera which was a pain to install but now that it's done, I love it!! Installation of the unit was easy, but I had to fabricate brackets to hold it into the dash. Company was great with input on how to get the backup camera working properly.
