The quality compared to price is outstanding. This is a very nice 8 inch subwoofer that holds it's own when compared to some costing three times as much. This is used in my extended cab truck to pull my fishing boat with. I've long had a powered 8 inch Bazooka tube to fill in the bass a little and it's been decent. The Amp quit a few years ago so I installed a Phoenix Gold Amp bridged into 300 watts and was much better though still more boomy than lower bass. Ran across this little 8 and seeing the reviews as well as price decided to replace the Bazooka sub driver, what a surprise. This little sub in that tube really digs down pretty low and holds its composure very well. Put two of these in a decent box for a truck and you've got some great output. At volume levels I can feel in the seats there's no funny sounds or bottoming out from just one little 8. Thought I should give it a review after being amazed at my twenty dollar investment. ... show more

If you're looking for a dirt cheap like subwoofer and understand that it's not going to be amazing, this works fine. I gave it about 6 hours of break in time before working it harder. It sounded terrible at first. After an hour or so of running harder it finally started coming to life. I have a single 8" in a small .50 sealed box in the trunk of my commuter car with about 230w going to it. It meets my expectations. Previously I've had a pair of the 10"s I n a single cab truck. I purchased these subs to add a little Bass to my truck at an affordable price. As usually, too good to be true. I broke them in slowly and kept the wattage down( only a 400 way amp). They were just starting to sound good and then they blew, both within a day or two of each other. For the subs being polypropaline cones, they pack a punch at low frequencies. and especially running two of these at 2 ohms, they are killer causing everything to rattle in my car. For the price to performance of these subs, as being my first time working with car audio equipment, I'd say these are good quality as long as you don't use a amp that is probably rated for more than 1000 watts. Currently running two 8's on a 1200 watt Jensen 1200 watt Class D amp. EDIT AFTER TWO MONTHS: having two subs wired at 2ohms, they can handle about 800 watts before their coils start ripping eachother out. a lot of punch for two 8's. over all good quality subs for this low price. just don't expect long life if you bump them hard 24/7. But for daily normal use to replace factory subs, they will be perfect! ... show more
