Worked great to help patch a piece of carpet my dog chewed. I cut a spare piece and used carpet tape to tape it down. Before using this you could see the rectangle seams, but after a few rolls, it all blended nicely.

This tool worked in some areas - like the middle of the doorway but not on the sides by the wall. I think, I may re-cut another piece of carpet and try again. You have to lean into the tool from the carpet around the patch---at least that's what worked for me, and then going to the middle patch..pressing in various angles until it is blended. ... show more

I purchased this because I was going to replace a bad spot in my carpet. Later, I decided not to it because the carpet was too old and there would be a noticeable color difference. But, I tried this tool and it did a great job in fluffing up the old carpet fibers. I just rub it across the bad areas and it causes the fibers to stand up again. I don’t think it made much of a difference because the carpet looked the same after. Too much of a hassle to return for the small refund.

    • Works fine on all our small jobs.
We moved into a house that previously had some pets that had clawed up some pieces of carpet. With this, some carpet tape, and a few extra lengths of carpet that were left behind we were able to fix all the damage and make the carpet look like new.
