Couldn't wait to get it out of the box! Believe me - it's a very durable well made car! I'm surprised how heavy is it if I compare to store bought. I've had a few others before, no one was so well made. First - unic design comes with the spare wheel which most don't have. Make it looks pretty + you get an extra wheel for the replacement - so it's your money saving. An extra star for the company for it from me. Second - comes with 2 BATTERIES which allows you to play twice longer. Both father and son get a blast - each has an own battery. My son is 5 and he easily can play with it by adjusting the speed so it won't brake the car when not professional rider operates it:) Fourth - it runs very fast even on the grass. I got this car for myself. Just wanted to clear my head of all worries after covid. And it was so much fun to play with it. Very durable and fast car. 4*4 system enables very steep grade to go over. Fast response to steering . Extra nuts and bolts with hub parts and pins are included. Helped a lot wen I lost one weel due to crazy driving. Recommended this for anybody above 10 years of age. 2 batteries are included . Tools also there to make repairs easier. Buy with confidence. ... show more

    • Didn’t work - out of the box - UPDATE AS OF MARCH 2022
I am writing an update on my initial review posted October 15, 2021. Since that time, I was contacted by BOIFUN and received a new car. IT WORKED :-). My son could not have been more excited. Since receiving the new car (same model), it has been put to a 9 year old test. The RC car was raced across football fields, baseball fields, beaches, hiking trails, back to the beach and along the water edge (did not submerge) and across ice covered lakes and snow covered hills. It has been a gift that continues to give. My update included an increase from one star to 5 solid stars. I would be remiss if I didn't include incredible customer service. There was follow up prior to the arrival of the new/replaced RC Car, during the "is it going to work" period and post "it worked period." Fantastic and amazingly agile and FAST. For the various terrains explored by a 9 year old and his 8, 9, and 10 year old friends, the price is great for all that you get out of it. Previous post from October 15, 2021: Unfortunately my 9 year old son didn’t get to experience what could have been a great gift. Out of the box, the car didn’t work. This is a great RC car. Way better than what the big box stores carry. The car is super fast, has very responsive steering, and feels heavy duty. The remote control is very user friendly, and easy to use. The remote also allows you to adjust the maximum speed and steering. The car comes with an extra battery, tools, and spare parts. The battery is easy to change, however, the battery charger connection doesn't seem durable enough to last as long as the car will - it works good so far, but time will tell if it is durable enough.     • Great value 1/10 scale with nice look
Overall fun RC, not really that fast GPS showed 18 mph max (with spare tire attached) but decent. Plastics seem a bit cheap but no issues so far, maybe this is due to it not being that fast. I like the desert buggy look and green highlights. Shocks are filled with a Vaseline type stuff not really oil shocks so its a bit bouncy. Battery charge seems to last about 20 mins, i had to use included charger since my normal RC charger kept erroring out. This version does not come with lights but I plan to add some since it has the buckets and available plugs ( on ESC) for them. With coupon at $70 it is a good value to get a bit bigger RC. ... show more

    • I'm a 40 year old man and this thing is a blast.
Only had it a few days but so far it's a ton of fun. I live in Alaska and the grass is a little tall and wet and this thing buzzes right through it. It's fast and durable. Wrecked it a couple times but nothing has broken so far. Hoping they have aftermarket parts. Well worth the money for the amount of fun we've had with it. ... show more

This thing is crazy fast and powerful and fun. I think because of its many small parts and maintenance that it needs this is more of an adult toy/hobby item. The wheels get loose and they need tightened with the little wrench. Bolts and screws that need assessing after every run. I don't think a kid should be messing with all that stuff.
