These one time use replaceable aluminum bolts were a Perfect fit on a 2008 BMW X3 (E83) oil filter housing. As you may or may not know, Many of BMW's bolts are a one time use and they are aluminum and after they are tightened to their recommended specific torque they are not to be reused as they WILL SNAP! Words of wisdom: Don't test them when you are replacing the two gaskets on this housing; you will fail. Buy new bolts, plain and simple. Learn for other people's mistakes. In reality I see a lot of negative comments about the screws on my 2009 Bmw 328i they worked perfect, what I recommend is that they mount the original seal so that they do not have future problems of liquefaction and mount the screws by hand.

I bought these to replace the "aluminum" bolts that are factory. They fit perfectly, and was unnecessary to replace since the stock bolts are in fact steel on my M235i, I decided to use them anyway. Perfect size for the N55 oil filter housing.

These aren’t original BMW parts. Original parts are aluminum stretch-bolts, these are steel. The quality of the bolts themselves is quite good, but I can’t give it 5 stars when the description claims to be something it isn’t. If you’re fine with steel then these are great, but if you want to follow what BMW suggests to use (aluminum) these aren’t the parts for you. ... show more

Good replacement bolts for the oil filter housing when I replaced the gasket.
