Fairly standard construction style but much lighter weight, flexible, and less storage than a typical garden hose. Instead of dealing with a bulky stiff rubber hose for watering plants or even washing the car, I found this hose is much easier to use with little impact to water flow. The 5.5lb hose stores coiled in a 12” diameter is just 4” deep and the included sprayer is good quality with thumb control which I find limits fatigue that can occur when I use a palm grip style that requires constant pressure to keep the water flowing. Of course there may be situations that a full size maximum flow hose would be desirable, I imagine this would not be the best choice for filling a pool for example. Connectors are standard full size and robust with a strong compression connection to the hose, not a cheap crimp of thin metal like some contractor grade hoses. Marketed as kink free, kinks are typical of this style hose. A tight bend under pressure will kink and cut off most flow, though I have not had it fully collapse and completely stop the flow of water. ... show more

This hose appears to be really well made and is relatively lightweight. At first use, the hose retains its coiled shape, but once you straighten it out and continuously use it, begins to soften up and display more flexibility. They included nozzle has several spray options and has a comfortable lever for easy stay on/off operation. The nozzle also swivels, ensuring that the hose doesn't end up in knots as you use it. Time will tell in regard to durability, but I will go with it for now. Seems like a pretty good general-purpose hose. I'm dropping 1 star out of caution on the connectors. The marketing does say "Antioxidant aluminum material that resists corrosion". I will see if that is true as I have had connectors that I did not look into deep enough that through time became one with the mate. The connectors do feel strong and very solid though. ... show more

The hose is very flexible and appears to be sturdy. The connectors did not leak. The nozzle has a standard outlet configuration, with a bale actuator--which I like better than pistol grips.
