    • A great budget purifier with AUTO feature!

Having an AQI sensor with an auto mode is pretty rare for purifiers at this price range. BlueAir is really cool for creating something inexpensive to be a set it and forget. I’ve tested and tried many different air purifiers and while I have a favorite already, this one really deserves its praises. For starters, I want to say this is definitely a bedroom-centric purifier and isn’t meant for larger open concept spaces (Opt for the 311 Auto for bigger area). The 411 auto is virtually silent on level 1. Level 2 is also pretty quiet but has a very gentle breeze sound (personally my fav for sleeping bc the white noise is calming). Level 3 definitely is a jump in sound but is good for brief quick air cleaning. Auto mode is pretty accurate with detection rate. I put out a candle that was relatively close proximity to the purifier and the sensor light turned red and gradually revved up to sift out the smoke. In another test, I blew out a candle that was further away from the purifier across the room. The sensor did take longer to begin revving up the fan (about 5 mins give or take) but nonetheless still managed to detect. I find dissipation of odors and smoke to be pretty decent. Today I was indecisive about outfits and tried on many diff things while looking in the mirror and I guess all the dust and lint kicked up and got the little guy revving up. All this to say, the AQI sensor and Auto Mode is great! Other positives: -low power consumption. It’s gonna be so inexpensive on your electricity bill. Only 10watts of power max! -stylish! The prefilters are very attractive I’m in a very modern minimalist space with black and whites and grays. The default pre filter it ships with fits perfectly! Diff decor? They have many different colors for you. I have to say, I doubted this thing for a bit because of its seemingly lacking power. It reminded me a lot of the Levoit Vista 200. However that model is awfully weak and not worth the money. I believe the reason why the Blue Pure 411 Auto works so efficiently well, is because it is 90% filter. There’s no plastic unibody or restrictive intake grills. Just fabric and filter. Because of this, less fan power is needed to pull in air through several layers of plastic holes and super dense materials. Pretty innovative and a true example of “less is more”. Highly recommend for those who want a stylish, efficient minimalist air purifier for a small space. ... show more

Although the Blueair Mini is delivers medium volume HEPA Air Purification, it's a very quiet unit. It's perfect for travel since it's lightweight and very effective for a Hotel room.

As someone with allergies, I have had more than my fair share of air purifiers. This is one of the best, most quiet for single room use. I originally ordered a used air purifier, but it came with an off-putting smell. The lights on top are unobtrusive, but are less helpful than simply listening to the sound of the air purifier as you push the button, since there are no indicators with the lights. Aside from that, the unit sips electricity, is simple to operate, battles allergies effectively, but probably isn't worth the 50% price premium over the mini. ... show more

This air purifier is quiet and doesn't take up a lot of room. Small but powerful. Setting one is great for sleeping. I love that the outer filter is washable. It seems like the inner filter lasts a long time, too. After having this maybe 3 months the HEPA filter still looked really white and seemed there was no dust on it at all, and I was running it all night every night (on setting one). Now I use it in my office at my new place and run it all day on setting two. Not sure how long the filter will last on 2, but the replacement filters are not too expensive. The company is in Sweden and apparently there is no way to contact them. They say "Contact your local retailer for questions" which is basically Amazon! I bought the mini air purifier and it came without instructions, or maybe I lost them. Because somehow I knew there was a child lock system. I tapped on the fan icon and the fan setting wouldn't change. I held it down and it didn't change. Sometimes it turned off. Apparently there is some kind of child lock on it. I tried holding the on/off button for 5 seconds to unlock it and at some point I accidentally turned it up from fan setting one to setting two (which I was happy about, because one wasn't doing enough). Later I somehow accidentally turned the child lock off, I guess, because I was miraculously and thankfully able to easily change the setting from 1, 2, or 3 and back again. I just hope I don't lock it again. Between this and my washing machine lock getting stuck this month I'm fed up with the child locks! Make some items or optional models for people without kids at home! Or at least make it easier to turn the child lock off or post some actual instructions on the website. ... show more

Works great to keep air clean and dust from accumulating on furniture. We keep the bedroom windows open at night to cool the room and were finding dust everywhere during summer months (hay fields & farms surround our home). We have sinus issues & asthma, so we ordered this and found we have much fewer sinus problems and much less dust (no more daily cleaning!! It’s uber quiet on the lowest setting and not so loud on the higher settings. I have it on my bedside table and it doesn’t keep me awake. A light tap turn it on/off and changes the fan speed. We bought the larger model for the living room with the same results and are very happy with it. ... show more

We love this! Great design, nice and compact, easy to use and it makes our bedroom smell fresh. At night, you can't hear it at all on the first setting. We put a little 'price dot' where the power button is because you had to strain to see where it is, since it doesn't light up. Other than that, works like a charm. Highly recommended. ... show more
