  • Good e-board for the price after upgrading bushings and bearings
Color: Red
This board is pretty good buy for the price. The dual motor version will climb hills very well on a full battery, Hill climb ability goes down as battery life goes down. I highly recommend changing out the bushings on this board to orangatang nipple bushings makes a world of difference. I'm 225lbs The stock bushings were way too loose even after attempting to tighten them all the way. I also recommend upgrading the bearing the stock wheel bearings spun for only a few seconds my new reds bearing spin my wheel for over a minute. The deck of the board has no flex to it, that's not really a bad thing just a matter of personal preference. I know that they don't claim that the board it waterproof but i can say that i have taken the board apart to do a deck swap and all of the components are sealed very well from the hub motors to the compartment that holds the battery and other electronics. I have ridden the board in the rain in NYC and the wheels still grip when wet which is nice and the board held up very well. The braking is excellent i can take any hill with confidence just have to be careful the trigger is very sensitive and will throw u off if you brake too hard. Acceleration in slow mode is nice and smooth and in fast mode has plenty of power and speed. The board is fairly heavy for carrying around for a long time the handle for the board is a good idea but it is hard and digs into your hand and when you hold the board by the handle it isn't balanced because motor side if the board is much heavier. The board can be ridden in either direction and the remote has a shift button to change directions, full power in each direction which is nice. I haven't had any issues with the remote. Overall this is a great budget electric board for the price. Pros: all electronics function very well, dual motors are powerful even for 200plus lb riders, Cons: bushings are very loose even after tightening them and that makes it hard and unstable to ride at full speed. Loose bushings also cause fatigue from constantly having to balance. Bushings and bearing need upgrading but you can buy those things on Amazon and if you can't change them yourself take your board to Zumies Doesn't come with skate tool so def add that to your cart if you don't have one ... show more

  • Beware of the reverse
Color: Red
Had the board for a week now. The board itself is fine and seems well designed. But the remote for it feels like the most unintuitive, poorly designed piece of hot garbage ever. The acceleration and breaks require a lot of self training and are very sensitive. There were a lot of moments where I was not prepared for the board to want to instantly got 25 miles an hour just because i slightly pressed on the acceleration. Even worse is the breaks doing the opposite of where u want to slow down gradually, but the option to do that is by moving the nob by .01 cm and anymore would make the breaks go on full throttle. It doing that when you are going 20 miles an hour is horrifying. To accelerate, there are 3 options, slow, medium, fast. To change between these buttons you must release the acceleration button to switch between the modes. This is extremely unintuitive as the moment you let go of the acceleration, the board will quickly decelerate to 0 on flat ground. The WORSTE issue i have with the remote is with the reverse button. This board is capable of going in powered reverse if you choose to. THIS SO FAR HAS BEEN THE WORSTE FEATURE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I have never found the reverse useful and that wouldnt be a problem if it wasnt for the fact that the button on the remote to switch to and from reverse was right next to the acceleration knob, meaning it is VERY easy to press it. And it is VERY easy to press without you knowing and there WILL be no indication that you DID press it. So all of a sudden, randomly u could go flying backwards with 0 intention of wanting to ... show more

  • This board is a beast
Color: Red
First off, I haven't ridden a board in 25 years. I thought I would play it safe and get a long board. I wanted electric to get around. I had read reviews on the single hub on hill climbing and decided to take the plunge. This thing climbs hills like crazy. My first piece of advice is to tighten the hubs when you get it. They are way to loose. I couldn't ride it at all until I did that. People recommend getting a skateboard tool but all you need is a cheap rachet set. I set mine to where they are a little tight but do have play in them. If you haven't ridden in a long time (or ever) I would recommend the low setting and try to coast as much as possible to begin with. I started off in empty parking lots. The nice thing is it has really good brakes. You do have to be sensitive with both those and the throttle. I can't stress that enough. I have good balance but have almost thrown my self on slow mode and breaking. The trick is to practice easing on it and it still is a little jerky. On slow mode this thing really goes. It's going to take a while for me to feel comfortable at that speed and in traffic. Bumps are actually a little better if you have some speed going over them. Overall this board is worth the buy for someone starting out. I have no plans on upgrading. On the board itself, it is completely solid. I am so happy with this purchase. I'm going to leave early for work (I work at the UT Texas Austin campus) and take it slow to work after getting off the bus. If you are getting a starter board I would recommend this one and you really should spend the extra for the dual hub if you plan on keeping it for awhile. I don't see a reason to upgrade but time will tell. ... show more
