Purchased this blender after weeks of researching the pros and cons of this, vitamix, nutribullet, and cuisinart. Narrowed it down to the Blendtec and Vitamix because of the blade mechanism. Watched a hsn demo of this particular blender and fell in love with the SNOW ICE making capability. Well, opened on my birthday, washed it, and first test of "Snow Ice" was a BIG FAIL. Used the 32 oz jar and filled to the line and it had too many cubes still. Pulse still didn't break it up and it turned into a ice block. Next tried ice with Perrier peach and it separated the liquid and made a MESS getting it out of the pitcher into a cup. Next day, made a frozen drink. Used about 8 -10 oz of liquid and 2 cups ice. Came out silky smooth. I don't want to add liquids to my ice. I want SNOW. LOTS OF IT. Also, tried to use it to chop vegetables like salsa and because it was less than a couple ounces it didn't work. Still had big chunks. Too expensive to not do multiple tasks. ... show more

I got a deal back on this bundle November 2019 and I simply LOVE THIS BLENDER. I use it in the mornings for a protein-packed smoothie made with coconut milk frozen fruit that I add various supplements to (marine collagen, cacao powder, pumpkin seed protein, hemp seeds, and a few more). It does a wonderful job on the fruit, I start with just the fruit in the coconut milk on the smoothie setting. Then I add in the supplements on blend on low for a few seconds. Afterwards, it is easy to clean with the self-cleaning setting... after the cycle is complete I rinse the jar and let it dry. The only downside is the plastic jar, I refuse to put hot liquids in plastic. I really wish they made a glass jar! ... show more

Blendtec is the best blender I have ever owned! The pitcher does not have removable parts, so, unlike other blenders it doesn't need to be taken apart to get to the hard to reach areas (that begin to stink because of slow leakage!). If you do physically out your hand inside you won't get cut by the blade because it is not sharp. Seriously! It absolutely pulverizes fruit and ice, etc, but the blade is not sharp! Don't forget about the self cleaning function - as long as it's not overly messy - such as with peanut butter or melted cheese (those I do scrub). But after every simple smoothie, just one cup of water and one drop of dish soap and hot the wash button: viola! And don't get me started on making hot soup... You put in your ingredients, and after it's done mixing, it's hot! Seriously - if you're considering buying one - just do it! ... show more

Bravest blender I've ever owned! It has tackled every frozen morsel I've ran through it like a champ! I bought it for my son who has trouble chewing and swallowing some foods, think raw carrots and meat. He loves smoothies and now I can make him one in a jiffy. No more calling my old blender names and shaming it. I've retired it with a gold star for effort. The BlendTec I bought came with a 90oz Wildside+Jar and a 75oz FourSide jar. It also has an 8 year warranty through the Blendtec Company, so there is absolutely nothing not to love about this ruggedly handsome blender. It's so tough we may just name it Rocky! ... show more

I use this blender to make smoothies everyday. They have 1/2 lb. greens and whole flaxseed or whole chia, and frozen fruit and sometimes protein powder and/or tofu. It is all ground up beautifully! The blendtec is my 3rd blender in a year and a half and it still churning. I am so grateful that it still works. I'm sorry I couldn't afford the professional one to cut down on noise, or one with more features, like making hot soup, but I am so glad that it makes multiple smoothies everyday. ... show more

Was super pumped to get this blender, after all, as the price suggests, this is an investment. Before my 20th blend (in keeps track, I’m not psycho I promise) the blade on the container detached and wouldn’t spin any longer. When I reached out, they did exchange the item, but not just the blending container, the entire unit. Just starting to use the new one, but if it happens again, I’ll be returning for good. ... show more
