I had just moved into a new apartment and was in need of a vacuum. After much research, I stumbled on to the page for this vacuum. I was initially put off by some of the negative reviews before realizing they were for older models. Seeing that this vacuum had just come out and a video of it looked promising, I decided to risk it and put in an order. The chief complaints about the older models seem to have been resolved in this new one. There's a height adjustment and it works great with both bare floors and carpets. It's easy enough to switch between the main vacuum and the more compact extension. I was done with my one bedroom apartment in less than a half hour including cleanup after. There was definitely a good bit of dust caught inside, but there was still plenty of room. I feel this could easily do a two bedroom and maybe a three bedroom living space before needing to clean out the dust inside. There were some useful cleaning attachments for those with pets, but I didn't get a chance to test those out. All in all, this is a pretty good vacuum if you want the minimum amount of hassle with powerful enough suction to clean most anything up. I feel that any model a step above this would cost much more and be overkill for the average person. I'll have to see how well this performs after a year or so, but for now I'm pretty happy with my new vacuum. ... show more

    • Picks up so much dirt!
I bought this because it was cheaper than most, but it is so much better than it's price! It picked up so much dirt and hair off my floors. It kind of makes the dust swirl around on hardwood but picks up so much from carpet, and I love the height adjustment. My complaint is that the accessories I got didn't fit onto the vacuum. My extended piece that should allow me to use the accessories wasn't made correctly so I'll have to jimmy-rig something to use the pet hair head. Also when I release the dirt trap it get onto the outside of the canister and can be a little messy. ... show more

This is the best “low” end vacuum cleaner made, it replaced a an 18 year old of the same make and model, value for the money.

    • Accessories are incompatible.
As a general purpose vacuum, its great, but as others have stated, the accessories DOES NOT FIT. Overall problem: 1. The pole extension has the same diameter as the hose, rendering it and all other accessories useless. 2. The brush adapter has the same dimension as the attachment point to the pole extension. 3. The only thing that fits is the narrow suction adapter, but like the problem of number 1 renders it useless as well. ... show more

    • Good Vaccum, but...
Pros: I only used it once and so far it did a good job. Its powerful enough to pull kitty litter granules out of the carpet and the floor level option worked good on my kitchen and bathroom tile floor. Cons: The extension cord is not retractable, so you have to deal with wrapping it around the hooks at the back of the vaccum. Biggest issue... is the extension adapters for the hose DON'T FIT!! I tried and tried, twisted and prodded and couldn't get the adapter to fit into the hose. Fortunately, I didn't throw out my broken Biswell vaccum and was able to fit the extension adapter to the Black & Decker hose. Lastly, dumping out the dust bin was a pain. The debris doesn't fall out, you have to reach in and pull the debris out with your fingers. The more compacted, the more trouble. So don't let the dust bin get too full. For the reasonable price, its a powerful vaccum, but also for the price the adapters should fit. ... show more

I recently purchased this vacuum and it's a game changer!!!! Its easy to maneuver and has FABULOUS suction. My floors have honestly never been cleaner. I think its a great price and the quality is amazing. If you are in need of a vacuum.... this is it!!!!

Bought this through Amazon because I saved a few bucks. Vacuum cleaners are $150 and higher where I live. It work two times, today I was vacuuming and it stop as I was using it. The power is not gone out because the power light is still on. It’s just not working. I unplug and cleaned out the reservoir that keeps the dust and it still didn’t work. So I cleaned the filters and cleaned out the hose and voilà its back working again. Moral of the story if it stops working, clean it out thoroughly. So far the device works well. ... show more

    • Stopped working after only FOUR MONTHS
Such a disappointment. Completely stopped working after only four months of weekly apartment use. nO PROUCT SUPPORT AFTER 3 MONTHS! Light came on but 'no one's home'. I suspect motor burned out because the pad where the cup sits suddenly became VERY HOT after the last use. Then when we immediately tried using the vacuum in another room it wouldn't work at all. Heavier than expected and didn't like the extra-long cord that due to poor positioning kept falling under the rollers. GOOD POINTS: Great suction and cleaning power on both carpet and floor.
