Features

  • Steel bike trailer hitch for Burley bike trailers, durable and solid. Works with disc brake and full suspension bikes
  • Fits QR axles and solid axles up to 12mm (OD=0.48in).
  • 12mm Thru-Axles will require Burleys adapted Thru-Axle. This replacement axle has external threading to accommodate the installation of our axle mounted hitches.
  • If you are upgrading from a Classic Hitch to this Steel Hitch, you will also need a Flex Connector. (Flex Connector not included, but you can find it in our store.)
  • Safe. The hitch come with a D-pin lock and a safety strap, you can replace the old strap or just keep it for backup.

    • Solid hitch, but poor strap
My overall rating is for the combo of the hitch and strap, though I'd give the hitch alone 5 stars and the strap 1 star. I bought this set after my rear wheel + hitch was stolen in April 2023. The hitch that came with this set is a good replacement. Can't tell any difference from the Burley hitch, and haven't had any problems with it. I didn't need the strap right away, but when the Burley strap tore (from poor placement that caused it to rub against the disc on the rear wheel) in August I was glad to have another strap handy. After 2 months, though, the pin has separated from the strap. The grommet that holds the strap to the pin has bent out of shape. Seems like poor construction, as the original strap never had any issues as far as the pin connection goes. ... show more
