I was SO excited about giving this to my oldest child but upon set-up and reading their terms and conditions their app will download your e-mails, pictures and much more as well as have all your child's personal information (required to use the app) for their own personal use.... I then read that this company is out of China.... No thanks China- I'll keep my information to myself, You'll have to try harder than that to get me and my families personal information, pictures, and health stats!!! ... show more

My mom has a heart condition that makes her kinda rely on the EKG feature of her apple watch. My son took notice and decided that he should be monitoring his heart and needed a fitness tracker with HRM. After he was really rough with and lost his Garmin KidFit a year ago, I had no interest in spending a fortune. He's not training for a 2nd grader triathlon or anything, we just want to have some data to track when he's being a video game schlub, when he's not getting enough sleep, and so he can check his heart rate to work out his anxiety around a genetic heart condition that he might not even have. He's *that* kid. The Biggerfive Tracker is inexpensive, it comes in a box that makes it seem like you're receiving a very important piece of machinery. The watch band is easy to adjust, and will fit my son for quite some time, and it's comfortable because I've never heard him complain (and that's saying a lot). There are several watch face choices, you can adjust the brightness of the watch face, and you can toggle the feature that wakes up the screen when your arm moves. While playing it's good to shake your wrist and wake up your watch, when sleeping or watching a movie, it's obnoxious and probably reduces battery life. We opt to keep it off, so he just pushes the little button to wake up the watch. As the youngest in the house, I think that he feels empowered to have data about his day to report and compare. This product is exactly what I was looking for in a fitness tracker for my son. Honestly, I have all of the crazy apps and tracker nonsense on my apple watch, and I think that he got the better product. The interface and data on the Biggerfive is straightforward and simple. I don't know how many steps I take in a day - what app do I open? We are very happy with our choice. I would highly recommend this fitness band for any kid, and so would my son. ... show more

We got the watch to set multiple alarms for our child to make his distance learning meetings. Side enjoyment came from tracking steps and sleep and comparing with his friends. The watch was used every day and only ever encountered normal wear and tear. No bumps, scratches or anything. Just putting it on, taking it off, and setting it on a counter. The Good: It worked great for that purpose. I was able to set the alarms on my phone, sync them to his watch and off we went. Our child has skinny wrists and this fit relatively well. It fit much better than any others we've tried. When compared to similar watches his friends have, this watch, app, size, style were far superior. The Bad: The watch was in use for about 5 months before it broke. The point of failure was where the watch band connects to the watch. On the one side, the band slides onto the USB charging port. On the other side, the band slides onto a plastic tab. You guessed it, the plastic tab snapped off one morning when the watch was being put on. No hard pressure or anything so I assume it was consistent flex over the 5 months that weakened that point. Which means, if you buy and use this watch daily, there's a good chance that at 5 months, it's going to snap at that same point. The cost of this watch then works out to about $6/mo for the time it lasted. Not horrible, but I'd rather not make a habbit of going around a creating more waste every 5 months. ... show more

The watch works as described, and fits a 5 year old's arm with room to grow into. The watch functions well, but does require downloading the app to your phone and connecting (binding) to set up; once initial setup is complete you can unbind if desired. The watch charges via USB port (charger not included) that is hidden inside the arm band; you pull the band off the watch face to reveal a usb. I have not yet determined a battery use indicator to know how much charge remains without inserting into a usb port. Charging is relatively fast, and appears to last several days. The primary reason for purchase was a step counter, to mimic mom's branded smart watch; this watch fulfills that goal at a good price point. Shortly after purchase, the watch was being worn when my son fell and accidentally broke the plastic connection of the clock face, which fits into the arm band, leaving the watch operable but unable to be worn; that plastic piece is required to snap into the band for wear. I contacted the company regarding the warranty, and they were phenomenally responsive with a fast and straightforward replacement. This is a decent watch, especially for kids, at an accessable price point. I'm unsure of the accuracy of the tracker, but it does keep time and provides a glimpse into daily activity (which elates my son). ... show more
