Was hesitant, saw a video on YouTube doing a demo with fish tape(rigid line to push the camera) put into a 1 1/2 drain line, had to wrap a little thick with duct tape to avoid sludge. Was able to go all the way, about 30 ft and found the clog.

    • Easy to work!
This scope works great for pipe inspection. The triple cameras work well for finding breaks and turns and T’s in pipe lines. It would not go through a 90 degree turn in 1” pvc, but larger works great. The screen is nice and big and having the handle shaped the way it is works great for holding the screen and working the options while also working the cable. The lights are nice and bright and work well. Also I have used it to scope the internals on a 4WD transfer case. The multiple cameras were perfect for the job.     • Worth a try although I couldn't get it past bends in sewer line
UPDATE: DEPSTECH reached out to me and offered a full refund, which they provided quickly and without any questions or requests to improve my rating. So, although the camera did not meet my specific need, I have updated my rating to 5 stars for above-and-beyond customer service that essentially removes any reason to not give the product a try. As mentioned in my original review, the quality of the product seems good, and now I know it is backed by excellent customer service. ORIGINAL REVIEW: One star because it is advertised as a sewer inspection camera but we haven't been able to use it for that purpose (and haven't found any other use for it so far). We have not been able to get it past any elbows in a residential sewer line, seemingly because the cable is too flexible. I even bought a fish tape and leader per the instruction's suggestion (to help stiffen the cable), but it didn't help at all. It still got stuck in the same spots, and it was gross having to untape the fish tape and leader from the camera after it had all been in sewage. We tried going through cleanouts, removing p-traps to access drain pipes in walls and down vent stacks, and the camera always got hung up on PVC connections (the camera itself is kind of long). If you can get it past connections, it's probably good for pipe inspections if there is no standing water. Once the camera goes under water, you can't see a thing, so it's probably not too useful for trying to figure out why a drain is clogged. It seems like good quality and the simultaneous multiple views seem nice, but it ended up being a pretty hefty waste of money and time for me. Very disappointing. ... show more

This is the 4th endoscope I've purchased over time from Amazon. This Depstech is the best one yet. Pictures really clear. Never thought I would need it to have 3 cameras. That option came in very handy as a pleasant surprise while working on my car. I contacted customer service at one time. They were quick to respond. If you've had other endoscopes before and weren't pleased with them, you owe it to yourself to try this one. ... show more

I purchased Depstech model DS590 for various projects around the house and automotive applications. It has worked flawlessly until I noticed that the battery was not holding a charge and the charging light was no longer flashing to show the unit was charging per the manual. I reached out Depstech customer service to make them aware of issue I was having and they sent me a new until within two days. They responded to my email in just 1 hour, that is lightning fast in our current digital world and time zone differences. Depstech stands behind there products and they come with a 2 year warranty, which tells you they put in the research and development to make the best product on the market. As most other companies only give you a one year warranty if you are lucky. I love the three camera head and the various angles you are able to manipulate and not having to move the camera head as it’s just a simple long hold on the display buttons to activate the different camera angles with split screen options as well. Very nice feature if you ask me. Trust me you will use this camera snake on things you did not know is possible.     • It is just okay
Cable is fairly flexible, so much so that it curls up easily at pipe bends and does not feed. Lens design is prone to have debris block the lens to the point you have to remove the camera to clean it all the time.

    • Work very well
This item is easy to use and does what it is supposed to do. I've not tried it underwater, only in dry vent pipes but is does the job nicely. I am very happy with this purchase.

    • Clear picture and SD card for snap shots.
I needed a camera to look for an obstruction in a 1 1/4 inch well pipe. The camera provides a clear crisp image with a good focal distance. The flexible semi ridge scope needed the aid of a steel fish tape in my case it still performed very well. I'd recommend this scope.
