Fantastic shade. Honestly considering purchasing another one for the opposite half of the pool for dual shading. It works very well - better than expected. The shade it provides keeps that part of the pool cool. And it's large enough to cover a good area. It has withstood monsoon winds and other weather as long as the mesh window is open for airflow. It is very sturdy. Fantastic value for the cost. Wasn't the most fun to set up, and it was a bit of a pain to take down (for pool maintenance), but otherwise I can't really complain about that. Some days it’s just too hot to be in the pool. We would try setting up patio umbrellas and awkward sunshades that never quite did the trick -I know, first world problems- In my defense I’m a surgery nurse and when I’m on call in the OR I need to stick close to home so my backyard pool is my summer sanctuary. Do not buy if you live in an area that has even mild wind. Had it up for about 5 days then one mildly windy day went outside and it had snapped off 2 of the poles and was no longer usable. Wind that day didn't get above 5mph. Cheap quality poles with plastic holders. Save your money and buy something else that stronger and more durable. ... show more

This is the 4th Canopy of this type that I have purchased. I totally love the design. It's easy to set up and generally is able to withstand strong wind and storms through a single summer. They have sometimes collapsed but have not been damaged beyond use. However, the cloth that they are made out of seems to get degraded by the sun over the course of a single season to the point that it eventually rips uncontolably and can't be effectively repaired. ... show more

This shade is fantastic for added shade on my Intex pool. Easy to put up. I take the middle polls out and secure it to the side of the pool when not in use to keep it from being torn up in any windy conditions.

Worked great first season. Stored away for winter and set it up for season 2. The material could not hold up to the weather and sun. The material became very fragile to the point that slight wind began to tear and shred it. Great design when it worked but poor quality.

This product has alot of potential. We have a 12x20 oval pool and it fit perfectly. Fabric is rather thin and I felt like it let in alot of light when it should have been blocking it out. I was gonna sew a new thicker fabric cover to slide over the poles to shade the pool when i had a few days off. But We've had it up for about 2.5 weeks and all the metal joints are rusted out. The rust wasn't so much of an issue for me. But the plastic clamps that were in the sun all day got sun faded and one of them snapped and broke where the pole attached to it. So it's completely unusable now. If it was in stock I would possibly order another one and just make sure the clamps are covered in some way to protect them from the constant sun. I think with some quality improvements it would be an Awesome product. ... show more

I’ve now bought two of these. I learned my lesson last year when I forgot to take it down during a monsoon thunderstorm. It’s simple enough to put together and install, but you will really want two people for installation and and also for removing it if there is a storm. Once you have it installed, removing it and then reinstalling it is a very quick process if you have two people. I have also done it solo but it’s complicated. ... show more
