Bought this 4-wheeler for my son and it has gone through water, mud, snow, dirt roads, paved roads, up and down hills..this thing is DURABLE!!!! Would gladly buy another one! Was well worth the money! We put a Dewalt battery in his and it goes a little faster!

We got two of these about 6 months ago for our grandkids. They have loved them. They don't hold charge for very long (about 45-60 minutes). which works well for 3 year olds but I can see being a problem as they get older. These quads accommodate a larger child very well.

    • On/Off Switch Broken - Easy Fix - MINE BROKE WITHIN THE FIRST FEW MONTHS

Got if for my son for Xmas worked a few times the broke. It was taking a charge fine but would not turn on and go. After not being able to return it, I decided to either to throw it out or rip it apart and somehow try and fix it without breaking it in the process, only had the potential for an upside with the same downside. I'm in business, I'm no electrician. After ripping it apart and bypassing all relays or fuses whatever they are and directly hard wired the wheels to the battery, everything was working. Not really sure what this told me but it was somewhat reassuring. So I put that back to somewhat normal, and moved onto the buttons to turn it on/off, fwd/rvers dashboard. The way this piece come out is you shove a flat head screw driver between the body and the dashboard. Just pry up on it like your going to break it, it will pop out eventually. Work around the edges. (Oh yea also you need to take off the steering wheel. That's self explanatory. ) Once that's away from the body, you're going to see a ton of wires. (also side note, make sure you disconnect the battery before you go reaching you hands into the rats nest of wires.) Then just the on/off switch out from behind. There are tab's you need to depress in, or just push the hell out of it, you're replacing this part anyways. Once loose and out I disconnected the three wires. Great fun electric battery ride on vehicle. Bought as Christmas present for our just-turned 4 year old. Arrived one day early a few days before Christmas. Assembled it alone on Dec 24th. Only issue was that at first I also thought that all hardware/charger/assembly instructions were missing BUT had the foresight to open up the seat using a screwdriver to find them securely hidden inside! There was no info on the box nor any paperwork inside to let you know that those critical parts were in there and I have read some reviews that state these items are missing-probably the same issue. Panic over on Christmas Eve, and assembly was essentially simple following the user manual. Takes around 45 minutes at best as product is already 75% complete when shipped. Only item you need is a Phillips screwdriver. Small plastic wrench is provided. Product is easy to charge, charger simply plugs into a regular outlet and the other end into the rear of the vehicle (no need to remove any covers). Charger has a red/green LED indicator light which is useful. Product is 2 speed (Hi/Low) and has a forward or reverse switch. Switches are easy to operate on dash console. I like the fact that the vehicle will not reverse in Hi speed (for safety). Hi/Low can be selected stationary to pull away with or toggled when vehicle is in motion. “Gas” pedal is down by right foot and simply a go-no go switch. Pedal pushed down = go and Pedal release will essentially brake. Our 4 year old loves it. Low speed is a sow walk pace. Hi speed is very fast waking pace for adults. I was concerned it would be too slow but not at all for his age range. It’s just right for him to have fun. Best used in a wide area as turning circle is large (like in a cul de sac or park trail). Haven’t ran the battery all the way down yet but has lasted at least 45 minutes on some outings. Another excellent feature is that the Battery voltage is displayed on the FM radio tuner so if you know a little about 12V batteries under load you can figure out when it’s getting low. It displays voltage to 2 decimal places like a meter! Only a week old today but so far 5 star review and glad we got this model. Highly recommended. Probably best for older 3 year old to about a 6 year old in my opinion. ... show more
