Bought this for College student research project to make perovskite solar cells. Students take the tape to the chemistry department and use their fume hood and hot plate The ITO glass is fastened to the hot plate using this masking tape while the solar cell materials is heated. After making the solar cell substrate, it goes to an Thermal Science x-ray gun and detector for elemental analysis and we found titanium, lead, iodine and other elements on our perovskite solar cells substrates. ... show more

Great tape, I'm sure I can use it for other applications -but- do not buy this thinking it can be used as tubeless rim tape for a bicycle. It genuinely doesn't work and I tried it 2x before giving up. Was worth a shot....

    • Yep, this is the clear yellow tape on laptop motherboards.

Laptops often have clear yellow tape to hold connectors in place. It is not uncommon to be unable to re-use the old tape. This is the perfect replacement. It provides a very secure fixative and it will NOT short the motherboard. It is non-conductive.
