I bought two of these for my 4 (now 5)-year old daughter. She used them consistently in pre-school and now has started kindergarten. Before school, she used to enjoy lunches in a charcuterie style (meat, cheese, fruit, veggies all separated into small portions). This bento box is perfect for her - it has many portions in the containers and never leaked when Input applesauce or yogurt into one of the pockets. After about a year, the silicone rubber on the containers began to mold. I was unable to get the mold off with scrubbing and soaking, so I reached out to the customer service email listed on their website. I received a response within 12 hours with suggestions on how to rid the mold from the container. I was told to reach back out if the suggestions did not resolve the problem. Although I tried the suggestions and didn’t get the results that I wanted (it helped some but not all the way), I am not disappointed. Once they heard that I was unable to resolve the issue, they did not hesitate to send two new containers directly to my home. I wasn’t expecting replacements and didn’t ask. If you are wondering if you should risk buying this, please buy it. The product is great, and if a defect occurs the customer service personnel make it so easy. ... show more

These lunch boxes are amazing. I wish I had known about them with my older daughter. The compartments offer perfect portion sizes. I was really impressed with how leak-proof these really are. I can send my toddler to school with saucy spaghetti, applesauce, and fruit slices all in their own respective compartments and they never spill over to each other or out of the container (and it gets thrown around a lot!). I bought some of these lunch boxes in May during a sale and we saved them all summer and just started using them this week. I love how they're easy to use. Unfortunately one of them the tray broke and there's a hole in it now. But I called their customer service and they are sending me a free replacement even though it's months later. I know we only used it twice but still not all companies would do that! We will be buying more in the future they back up their products and they are easy to clean 🙌 ... show more

Our daughter has severe food allergies so she has never been able to eat at daycare or school. We’ve been packing her food since birth and we had so many little containers to wash and fill, it was overwhelming. I did a little research and found Bentgo and have been in love ever since. Now, it’s been since 2019 since Ive used the kids version. I love it because it had all of the compartments, doesn’t leak because of the seals, and I could prep them ahead of time and take up less time and less room in the fridge. My only dislike was that it seemed like it had a lot of wasted space. The areas that separate seem so thick and what’s with that tiny hole in the middle? Even though I had design questions, I still loved using them because they made our lives so much easier. I usually filled the little hike with organic, dye-free, vegan gummies, jk, I put a couple gummy bears in it 🤣. Good way to ration the sweet. ... show more

No more fumbling with containers and ziplock bags- these honestly make the lunch packing routine so much easier. I would use it daily and after about a years use the latches on my youngest daughters lunch box stopped closing - she's 4 years old so i had more of a feeling that she was just opening and then closing it incorrectly at school. But these lunch boxes are so beloved that she was heartbroken. We live overseas in Turkey and buying one here isnt an option- so I had bought another one through amazon and shipped it to the grandparents house who were coming for a visit! She absolutely loves it and always finishes her lunch when its packed into the bentgo. My other daughter's lunch box has held up fine (2 years aprx) - recently I noticed some mold building up on the silicone ring- perhaps due to the summer humidity and constant use? I called customer service and they were quick to give me instructions on how to get rid of the mold. overall great product- def true to its word about being leak proof and honestly the prints are so cute any child would love to have it as their lunch box ... show more

One of our favorite lunchbox options! Pros: -It’s a great size for toddlers and elementary aged kids. We have no issues fitting a sandwich in the bigger section (cut in half and stacked). -The lid keeps everything separated even if they lunchbox if flipped upside down so no issues with leaking. Cons: -The shell is NOT dishwasher safe. Some of the packaging is a bit misleading and we made the mistake of putting the shell in the top rack of the dishwasher too. It melted the seal so it doesn’t work as efficiently. -The smallest portion is small. The only thing that really works in there would be dip for thin items (carrot sticks) or a small treat. -If the lid isn’t pushed all the way down it can leak. When an adult is assembling it isn’t really issue but may be when kids are packing up leftovers after lunch. I do wish that this model came with a stainless steel tray ... show more

We have really enjoyed using this lunch box for our son’s school lunch as it has enough compartments for a variety of items. Over the school year, part of the rubber became black in one section and wouldn’t come out. I reached out to the customer service support team and the representative was helpful with some suggestions that I could try to resolve the issue and if none of those worked then they would replace the item. I tried their suggestions and they didn’t not help remove the black marks, so I replied back to the email and the representative was supportive in helping to get a new lunch box out to me.
