This is a great bento. My kid just started school and the one I was using that came with her Pottery Barn lunch bag was awful, leaking and mixing things all over the place. When I packed her first lunch I closed it, shook it all around, and opened it - nothing moved from its section at all. Also, I was hesitant to buy this because some people said it doesn’t fit in the regular Pottery Barn lunch bag - this is not true!! It fits perfectly - I thought I might have to jam it in and it would be hard to zip, but again that is not true. It is a somewhat snug fit but my daughter can easily put it in and out of the bag. I’m not sure if they’ve slightly lengthened the bags since those other reviews or what, but I’m so glad I didn’t let them deter me because this bento is a huge upgrade. ... show more

mixed experience. While I appreciate that it truly is leak-proof and well-sealed, making it great for keeping different foods separate and fresh, there are some drawbacks. One major issue is the cleaning process. Despite the manufacturer claiming that it is dishwasher safe, the lunch box has proven to be quite the opposite. After a few runs in the dishwasher, stubborn stains started appearing that are almost impossible to remove. The recommendation to hand wash doesn't align with the convenience I was hoping for, especially with a product marketed as dishwasher safe. On the positive side, the portion sizes are ideal for young kids, and the compartments are perfect for a variety of foods. The durability and drop-proof design are definite pluses, giving me confidence that it can withstand the rough handling by my little one. Overall, while the Bentgo Kids Lunch Box does a great job at keeping food contained without leaks, the cleaning hassle and misleading dishwasher safety claim are significant downsides. If you're okay with hand washing, it might still be a good choice. ... show more

i use this for three of my grandchildren which are toddlers and it gives them a great selection of snacks throughout the day. its convenient, slim design, closes and locks but also is easy for them to open when they need a snack. is tough enough for an occasional drop to the floor but also stays locked if it does. hand wash or dishwasher safe also. doesn’t keep foods but i didn’t buy it for that feature. if needed you could easily put a portable cold ice pack in near it and it would stay chilled for quite a while. we take it in the car, to the beach, to the store, anywhere a snack may be needed. it gives toddlers the options to choose what they want and the sections are just deep enough to provide enough of one snack without over indulging then they can move on to a different snack. ... show more
