This is the cutest lunch box. My little boy loves it. Well made. Perfect little compartments for him. He has already been carrying it around. Locks well. I think it’ll hold up good and won’t leak. Perfect for his age range, he’s 5. Very easy to use. The lock on it isn’t too tough for his little fingers but tough enough to keep it closed. Love the little design. UPDATE: I reached out to customer service and had a response within 24 hours. After providing them with the receipt and picture of the broken lid, they have sent a replacement. They were extremely responsive and went above and beyond to rectify the broken lid. I have updated the review to five stars due to loving the lunchbox because it’s leakproof, but also due to their amazing customer service. To preface this, I have reached out to support and I’m hoping for a timely resolution. In the meantime, I wanted to provide my review to warn other parents not to purchase this product as it’s defective. School just started last week and my son has used this particular lunch box twice. While cleaning it today, the piece that locks the lid to keep it from leaking broke. I did purchase two so I have another one. That’s so far has no issue. This is the second lunch box we have purchased from here. They are very durable and do not fade in color. They are easy to clean and the kids love the cute designs. We have also gotten the matching water bottles which are also great!

    • I WANTED to live it but its impossible to close

I wanted to love this. It's bigger than the toddler version, the artwork is beautiful, it's dishwasher safe. All amazing selling points. BUT, after the first use, it's become impossible to close. I literally have to squeeze both sides together and judo chop the latch. It looks like the latch would grip the sides, and there's a little notch too that you would think is used to close it... but nooooo. It's a tiny lip that the middle underside of the latch catches Once I close it, there is no way my 9 yr old would be able to reclose it if needed. I probably see ke using it 3 more times at most. I'm only on lunch #4 and I'm over it. ... show more

If you’re looking for products to last the school year simple modern is just not the way to go. I bought 2 of their cups- 1 has broken at the lid, I couldn’t even open the cup to empty it, 2 bento boxes in July/August. It’s now mid November and both boxes broke at the hinges and are useless. That’s $100 worth of lunch stuff supposed to last the year that lasted less than 6 months. Horrible value for the money. I had my eye on this bento box for a while! I’m so happy I finally bought it for my daughter! First impression is it’s the cutest design I have ever seen! The colors are so pigmented and pretty! Secondly, the durability and quality in this product is unreal! I’m impressed with the quality of material but it doesn’t feel super heavy! Love the insert and it was easy to pull out and put back in which is great for my toddler! The portion sizes are great to be able to give my child a variety for lunch.
