I've tried only a few spoons - the NumNum, lalo, b.box... This munchkin one wins by a landslide. The choke guard is KEY!!! Plus my kiddo likes to use this thing as a chew toy. Spoon is the right size for loading food. Back end of the spoon is large enough that kiddo can put it in his mouth to soothe teething, but he won't gag himself. Good size for gripping.     • Love these spoons!
I love these spoons!! My 6 month old is starting to eat food/purees. These are easy for her to grip, soft on her gums to chew, and the perfect size. They scoop well and are dishwasher safe too. The perfect first spoon.

    • Excellent For Tiny Hands/New Eaters
The little handles are perfect size for tiny hands of babies and toddlers. Mine loves to feed herself but it also allows space for me also to help guide when needed. The length of the part that goes in the mouth is shallow enough to not trigger gag reflex. There's even a little guard to prevent from inserting too far and also shields the hands from some of the food mess. Soft silicone is gentle on little mouths and easy to clean. Out of all the baby spoons I've used, these are the ones I like the best because of all these features. One small drawback is that the clear silicone can pick up staining from certain foods, but not all, and I do have to visually inspect for nicks or any damage now that she is teething. ... show more

Hope this quick comparison helps all you new parents out there! 1. By far my favorite of the spoons. The curved handle makes it very easy for my daughter to feed herself, and it is easy for us to feed her as well with it. 2. This is the best spoon for when I am feeding my daughter. It is the perfect size for me feeding her, it is soft but not so soft that it flexes significantly. It is not as good for when she feeds herself, as the handle is too long. 3. Great for my daughter feeding herself. Very soft and the guard makes it impossible for baby to choke on the spoon. It is also very easy to grip due to the very wide handle. A very good first spoon to use when introducing solid foods to your baby. The only downside is that due to the thickness of the plastic, you can't get much food/puree per scoop. 4. My least favorite of the spoons. It is far too thin and the shape makes it difficult to put much food or puree on it. Also, it is harder to grip than any of the other spoons. The only good thing about this spoon is that it is VERY soft, so it is very safe to give your baby. 5. Like #2, the long handle makes it good for me feeding my daughter -- not so much for her feeding herself. Whatever type of plastic this spoon uses is slightly harder to clean than the rest of the spoons (especially in our dishwasher) which makes it harder for me to recommend. The shallowness of this spoon and slightly more "seamless" design means you better be careful or you'll be spilling a lot of puree! ... show more

I like the size and depth of the spoons. Love the shield and am excited for my child to get to work on feeding herself. The spoons are great, no problems there. However I ordered a pack of 4 spoons which i assumed was going to be 2 2packs of spoons each since I know that is how these are packaged. I received one set of spoons still in the original packaging and the other loose from their original packing and stuffed into a ziplock bag with an amazon barcode sticker on the back. I'm really upset that I paid brand new price and recieved a possibly used/damaged product. Luckily it is something I can sterilize or I would be sending it back and getting a refund. The media could not be loaded. I love the colors & the design. It helps for when my baby wants to “ feed “ herself she doesn’t put the whole spoon in her mouth. It has little grips on other side for if she’s teething it soothes her a little. I love it & would definitely buy again
