These definitely did the trick. I wanted something to go on my stairs to add to the overall look I was going for (country/cottage), so I thought these would be a great addition. I love them! I got them for the aesthetics, but I see and feel a clear difference when walking up and down the stairs. The technical info: there are 15 in a pack plus one for a landing. I did read the reviews, so I bought carpet tape and applied it to each tread so that they wouldn’t move. It did take sight my longer to install than I thought, but that had more to do with how I was cutting the carpet tape and finagling the treads on my angled stairs. I’ve had them on for a couple of weeks and they haven’t moved. I’m glad I bought them—just be sure to look at the instructions before you install them. ... show more

    • Love them, but they do not stay put
Totally worth the cost, and I had to use a staple gun to keep them secure for toddlers, pets and adults. Overall very happy because it does what I need it to do and the staple holes will not be visable.

My dog has arthritis and has been having a hard time going up and down our wood stairs. After mulling around and looking at various websites and styles I landed on these. The color works nicely with steps. It is more on the yellow side than beige however I have a golden brown stain so it looks good with it. I initially purchased the red ones. I liked them however they did not look good on lighter wood. I'm pleased with the quality so far. Make sure you count your steps. I needed to extra so I had to buy 2 sets. I'm glad I did as I also had enough to do the front portion of the steps as well as the side staircase leading to the landing. My dog normally goes up the side one bec it leads to the kitchen. However he has been using both lately now that there is tread on them. My dad is older and stays with us a couple nights a week and loves them too. He has slipped down the stairs in socks previously feels more comfortable going up and down them. I recently severely twisted my ankle which led me to finally purchased the carpet treads. I am glad I got the treads as they make it a lot easier for me to go up and down the stairs. The backing is nice and for the most part stays put. I did buy double sided tape to affix to the steps but decided against it. They do occasionally slide when my dog goes down the steps or my cats get into some cat zoomies and antics. I can foresee when my son comes home that his heavy foot and running up the stairs may be a problem although it might slow him down and make him take a normal pace. Also some of the corners turn up on the corner edges and don't lay flat. I flipped them around. I am not sure it helped to lay it down however it looks better. Overall I am really please with this purchase and do recommend. I gave the 4 stairs bec life styles may require them to be taped in place and the corner edge little flip. I was very excited to get these because the pictures made it look like they were a beautiful blue and white stair tread. I got them and opened to package to find that they were an awful ugly grey color. No longer give the crisp clean appearance. The grey almost gives it a dirty appearance. No thank you. They look awesome, just like in the picture. I replaced my carpet on the steps with oak treads. I bought these because I have a dog and don't want her to slip (or myself for that matter). She took some time to adjust to the new steps and is still very cautious on the short pile. It is still a little slippery for her because it is so short. I will be trying to find a little softer carpet tread to replace. Also, I did need to buy double side carpet tape to secure to the steps, since they tended to slip a little. ... show more

Now that I have had these for a while -I thought I could give a comprehensive review. I love these stair rugs! We pulled up old carpeting and couldn't decide if we were going to re-tread or paint. These were an inexpensive and quick solution. They stay in place 98% of the time and the color has not faded a bit. I haven't needed to wash them yet - I just go over them with a hand held dustbuster as needed. I will disclose that our stairs are unfinished plywood - which is why they probably grip so well. These look beautiful and I can wash them. I got these to help my 90 lb elderly labdoodle manage the stairs. Without the tape, he could push them and perhaps slide.

I don’t like those fact that does NOT come with any adhesive and is up to you to figure it out how they will stay in place ! What I like is the color and the size and how good it looks! Wish they make different sizes for different steps
