Bought this for our living room couch which was always a little too squishy but now that it’s older, it was extremely uncomfortable to sit on. (Lucky for us, we usually sit on the sectional in the family room.) I resorted to stuffing pillows under the couch cushions but then the couch was lumpy. Didn’t have much hope this board would work but I was wrong! Our living room couch is more comfortable than it’s EVER been - even when brand new. Easy to use and works far better than expected. So good, in fact, I ordered 2 more for our family room sectional. This is probably one of my very best purchases on Amazon! I was very skeptical when I first saw this product. The size I needed took a long time to become available but once it was I placed the order. I opened the box & was still a skeptical. I had sofa cushions that were going flat. They are 6 years old and are used heavily in our den for TV watching, lounging, sleeping, etc. I had the cushion foam rewrapped with more padding by an upholsterer as I wanted more support to help the life of the cushions. I also purchased the Benshome support. It is quite firm and gives the cushions support. It also makes your posture better when you sit as the cushions are not sagging. If you are not used to firmness it will subside some as you sit on the cushions but it will not get completely soft. So, if you want to feel a lot of softness this is not the support for you. It is also not has hard for me to get up off of the couch, so it provides a little more lift. I believe that this support will extend the life of my cushions. When I have to eventually replace my sofa I will still keep this support for the next sofa. I was disappointed that there was a shipping delay on the loveseat size and I was not able to purchase it but I am happy with the purchase for the couch. ... show more

My couch is about 7 years old, maybe more, and it sags bad. I remember my parents used to put a sheet of plywood on our couches and it made them firm again, but I really did not want to go through the trouble of that. So after reading many reviews on multiple different ones, I ordered this and it does work pretty well, my only quam is that it doesn't go the whole length of my couch, so it is short by about 8 inches, but all good, I still recommend! ... show more

I got my sofa in Nov 2017 and as we know, they don't make things like they used to; that being said, when I would sit down, I would sink in! Then my AC died and I had to sleep downstairs on my sofa for 3 months. After that, it was bad enough thT I had a piece of wood under the cushion I used the most. Browsing through Amazon, saw this and decided to try it. It works! It saved me from buying a piece of plywood the length of the sofa. Its stury and supportive but not stiff. The way it's made, you don't feel the wood under the cushion like you would be able to tell with pieces of plywood. S ometimes you don't feel like DIYing..this was one of them I'm glad I saw this and tried it. ... show more

I thought this might be a little firmer than it is. It's ok. We still sink into the couch a bit. It's easy to use and the folding planks make it easy to adjust the length.
