I can't say enough about this tent and the company that sells it!! Wow!! The tent is moderately heavy duty. The floor tarp is sturdy--I was camping in sage brush with some rocks and it held up fine. The zippers are all heavy duty (neoprene?) and are reasonably easy to connect and zip. There is a ton of room inside with plenty of room to stand up and move around. I had an oversize cot, a 3x3 table, a recliner camp chair and plenty of bagged gear inside. There was still plenty of room to move around! It holds heat moderately well. I used a propane lantern and it warmed up pretty quickly. Where I was camping, temps got down to the low 40s. It held up to strong rainstorms and wind. The biggest selling point for me was the ease of setup and take down. It took about 30 minutes to setup by myself (20 minutes with a friend) and the same amount for take down. The directions are clear. When I ordered it, I had a special request for shipping--the company was responsive (within 24 hours) and was able to help me out. Would be nice to have more vendors like this on Amazon. On the mild downside, it is heavy in the bag (50-70lbs est. in the bag)--if you have back issues, keep that in mind. If you haven't used rope tighteners properly in the past (me), setup isn't covered in the directions--a quick Youtube helped me out. It is somewhat of a novelty so lots of folk will stop by and ask questions and ask to see inside. Have your Amazon link handy to share with folk. The media could not be loaded. This is such a neat tent ! It isn't your typical pole set up tent and it does have ventilation areas but is definitely better for cold weather. It blocks out the elements nicely and feels spacious inside too. I got the 10 foot size and it measures 10ft x 10ft x 6.6ft and can fit 2-4 people. I like that you can stand all the way up in the middle. The material is : 7.0 oz Cotton,polyester and it had a waterproof PVC floor. The zippers are dursble and good quality. This tent can also be used with a camping stove and has a hole for the tent stove if needed for cooking and extra warmth. The tent comes in different colors and I think the green is nice for blending in with trees. Overall, this tent has really exceeded my expectations! It even has a back for storage and isn't to heavy to easily transport it to and fro. Love it! ... show more

I did watch a few solo assembly videos prior to my own attempt, and found the process exceedingly easy with my 5m model. If you can swing a hammer, use some visual/ spatial reasoning, and can read then you will have your tent up and running within 15 minutes. With the center and door frame poles set in, the guy lines shore up the tent rather handily. The materials from the floor to the peak are well made. Stitching is well done. The zippers are of a large size making it easy for anyone to handle, as well as slide a cable/ luggage lock through for safety. With nearly 200 sqft of floor space for the 5m model I have plenty of room for my hunting gear, provisions, queen sized air mattresses or a handful of cots should friends and family join in, plus the addition of my wood stove. The ventilation works quite well, and everything zips up snugly when the temperatures drop. My one qualm on this excellent tent is that the chimney hole is precut, though this is an easy work around for my smaller woodstove. Overall, this is a great piece of camping gear which will likely give me many seasons afield in all weather conditions. ... show more

I was really excited to get this tent, as I was looking at it for over a year and finally got one. When I put the tent up I saw small tears and pin holes in the canvas, and the windows are not even which will bug me everytime I look at it. If it wasn't for the holes I would be able to get over the window and give a better rating ... show more

I was a bit hesitant about the price of this tent. I finally used it in -30deg wind chill with gusts at 50mph. This tent didn’t budge or even act like the seams were going to pop, this is very sturdy. The floor is SUPER thick rubber material and with not knowing at all how to set it up it only took me about 30min following the written instructions. Also it comes with a really well organized carrying pouch for the hammer and steaks. I’m very very impressed with this tent. If you get a stove don’t skimp on it because the space inside is huge and a little wood stove didn’t cut it from across the tent ... show more

We got this tent to put on our mountain top property that's really windy & gets a lot of rain at times. It took me, by myself, probably a hour to properly set it up but would've been done in 15-20 mins with 2. We had this tent in one spot 4 months this past winter. Snow, ice, wind & rain. It never missed a lick. I did Scotchguard it with sealer. It was loaded with tv, microwave, 2 cots, a table, carpet, heater and dog bed. Had a flap for extension cord & hole for stove/heater pipe. We still have it bagged up to use again its still in great shape. We love it, tough zippers & seams. Well worth it!! ... show more

Was extremely satisfied with the quality of the tent upon first set up! My wife and I plan on living out of this tent with 2 young kids while we build a cabin this summer, and this structure looks like it should have no issues. When we initially set the tent up in our backyard to see what it looked like (we got the 16.5 foot one), the pole for the door did break upon disassembly. However, when reaching out to the seller we were met with an apology and quick replacement. Don't pay 2-3x the price for the expensive name brand, this tent will do the trick. ... show more
