I love this kit. I love all the variety of colors you can get for it. Although there is some thing wrong with the top and basecoat that comes with the kit. It doesn't adhere. So I definitely recommend buying big bottles of the top and basecoat separately if you want your nails to last. If not, they will peel the next day. I had to return this before even using it, after doing research about the process of doing gels at home. It gets one star based on the fact that the ingredients in this gel polish are unregulated (made in another country) and tend to carry a very high and unregulated concentration of HEMA ad other toxic chemicals. This is a chemical, that when used in an at-home capacity can very commonly cause people to develop an allergy to it. When you do gel nails at home, it's common to get it on your skin around the cuticles, and common as well to not use a quality UV lamp to cure it, like the one included in this kit. When you use a cheap UV, it improperly cures the gel, leading to prolonged contact with HEMA and other chemicals on your skin. When you are repeatedly using such a high concentration of HEMA without curing properly, it is VERY common to develop a contact dermatitis to it, AKA an allergy. Once you develop this allergy there is no going back-- you can never get gel nails again, even at a salon. Same goes for most acrylics, since this chemical is found in them too. The worst part is that this chemical resin is used in dental and medical implants/ fillings, so you'd need metal or gold dental fillings for the rest of your life. PLEASE do research before purchasing this-- there are better and higher quality, regulated gels to buy elsewhere. If you purchase this, please be aware of the risks and decide for yourself if it is worth it or not. You really get what you pay for. ... show more

I have been going to nail salons for years. I got acrylic almond shaped nails for the better of a decade and before that I had those super square pink and white “duck feet” style and once the trend was stars too. Anyhow… acrylic got to be too expensive, too time consuming as they grow out and need a fill (for me) every 11 days and it was damaging my nails. I moved on to just gel on my natural nails and have loved it! But I thought… I can probably do this! I did a major google and Bing search and everyone recommended the Beetles UV light, so I decided on this kit and WOW!!! I cannot believe this was $20. Incredible! And the tools are great too! I’m so happy with it, I just sent one to my sister. You cannot go wrong with the set. THREE things I will recommend is follow the directions and double or triple the dry time under the UV lamp and lastly try to paint thinner coats, go slow. Have fun! I loved this set and highly recommend it to beginners and well experienced nail techs! It’s a great set! :) ... show more
