This is a great dog bed if you have or can buy a new pad to put in it. The best thing I have found to replace the unusable separate cushion is a velour foam bath mat or a flat dog bed.. These are sturdy, fit well inside the dog bed and the dog likes them. The dog did not like the crinkly cushion that came with the bed. He moved it around and the stuffing, even though inside the nice zipper cover, came out of the fabric around the stuffing. I did find a use for that cushion. It's great for stuffing a pillow sham. I'm still looking for a use for the cushion cover. I gave it a five overall because the sides are firm but comfortable as a pillow for him and it washes and dries very well. I gave it a three for softness because without a separate cushion, it's not a soft bed. The dog really likes this so I have purchased two of these. But, from my point of view, the cost of this was the Amazon price plus a new cushion. I really like this dog bed but I do wish it had come with a usable cushion. ... show more

The foam is thick and holds its shape, no divots or flat spots. I got this to use as a base for a more plush dog bed on top for a super supportive but still soft and comfortable set of beds for my elderly mastiff. It works great. I recently purchased the Bedsure Dog Bed for Large Dogs, which has been an absolute game-changer for my dog. The orthopedic design of this bed is exceptional. It seems my dog wakes up refreshed and energized. The size of this bed is ideal. And it seems pretty soft. My dog is 27 pounds, I got her a large, and she has ample space to stretch out. One of the standout features of this bed is the removable and washable cover. It is incredibly convenient to remove and clean the cover, ensuring a clean and fresh sleeping surface for my dog at all times. My only issue is I thought it would be thicker but other than that it's great. The overall build quality of the Bedsure Dog Bed is excellent. The stitching is sturdy, and the materials used are of high quality. I have noticed significantly improved my dog's sleep since using this bed. With her old bed, she would eventually get up in the middle of the night to sleep on the floor, but now she sleeps through the night. I really like that it has two sides, a soft fleece side and a more durable canvas side. We use the canvas side for in the car. It does have a pretty water-resistant surface to that side which held up to a nervous accident once. The support orthopedically seems fine and not too tall. My dog loves it - soft, durable, waterproof and easy to clean - really could not ask for more. Color matched the color noted, top half is fuzzy and cozy, bottom half is waterproof and durable. My girls jumped on it right out of the packaging. I love that it has a zipper closure so easy to clean - I would not put it in the dryer for fear that it might shrink and be hard to put back on. We've had several large German Shepherds so I feel I know a good dog bed when I see one. Recently adopted a perfect senior girl (Star) who needs a very comfy place to lay her tired body. She's very stiff so wanted something that was easy to get on and off of and where she could lay flat. Bought a couple at same price point and this was by far the best. Very good foam which was thick and sturdy whilst being very comfy, it quickly regains its shape. Our boy (Bodhi) who doesn't even like dog beds loves it too. The cover is a really sturdy material, good fluffy top and machine washable and waterproof, just in case of any accidents. These can also be used in the trunk of your car for comfier car journeys. Anyway, buy it you won't regret and your fur baby will thank you for it. And remember folks, adopt don't shop!! ... show more

My dog absolutely loves this bed. The only thing is that the cover is not great. She chewed one bone on this bed and it was stuck all in the cover. We had to throw out the cover and buy a new one
