  • Easy to use
Color: Gray
I bought this for my partner for Christmas last year. The color is true to the picture. It seems to keep accurate time. The display is nice because you can make it brighter or dimmer. As you prefer, I think the size of the clock is about the size of a full size phone. It took a second to figure out how to set the time and the instructions were not overly helpful, but after pushing around on the buttons, it worked. It is convenient to use because it does charge your phone automatically on top.But it is not a fast charger, so if you need a charge fast, you'll need to plug it in. ... show more

  • Good product - no phone needed
Color: Gray
My alarm clock of 30 years recently broke. I decided to replace it with a modern take on an alarm clock. I think many of us can identify with the following - we both love and hate our alarm clocks. To me, this means that this sort of product is personal. I am very happy with the Dawn. Here are my pros and deltas. Pros - No phone needed. I purchased a few other products but returned them when I discovered that I couldn't perform all functions without my phone. The Dawn fully works without a phone. I love this. While like many folks I like connected devices and technology, when I go to bed I don't want to be required to use my phone to control my alarm clock. Sometimes I take my phone with me to bed to read but sometimes I don't. When I don't, I don't want to have to get out of bed to go get it in order to do something to the product. For example, to enable an alarm, other products required me to use a phone. This was a non-starter for me. - Bluetooth. I love being able to stream BT from my phone in my bedroom. - Easy to use. - Dimmable display. - Nice look, nice weight. - USB charging port. - Alarm has a crescendo which was a nice touch. It is quiet at first then gets louder. My partner and I like this. My old alarm clock was like a gong - super loud at first which always jolted me. - Finally, a big snooze button right on top so you can whack it. Well done. Some old habits don't go away. - Has battery backup. Deltas - Sound is terrible. Very mid-range with no treble and no bass. However, I didn't buy this for the sound so this didn't bother me. I do like streaming BT from my phone but when I want good sound, I go elsewhere in my house to listen to what I want to. - FM radio reception is terrible. This bothered me a little bit. I like to turn on the radio sometimes when in my bedroom. Even with the included antennae fully extended, the reception is bad. Other products I tested had much better reception. - Colon in clock flashes. Other products do this but my old alarm clock didn't. I'm very light sensitive so this concerned me. However, I discovered that the flashing colon is subtle unlike other products. With the dimmer on its lowest setting (display still on), I don't have a flashing disco globe party in my bedroom at night while trying to sleep and I can still look at the time in the night. Wishes - Wish I could get a white one...went with gray. - Wish I could change the color of the display. - Wish I didn't have to put batteries into it for the backup. My old one took a 9V. But it always annoyed me when the 9V ran out of power because I would never find out until power would go out and I would wake up late for work. This day and age, why not build a small lithium ion battery into the unit and let the wall outlet keep it charged. Overall, great little product. Thanks, team. ... show more

  • Continuous resetting
Color: Gray
This clock started out great, but after about 6 months of using it, I noticed that the alarm stopped working. Once I unplugged it and reset everything it started working again. Now 2 years later I still have the same issue. The clock is great as long as you don't mind having to unplug and reset it every 30-60 days in order for the alarm clock to work. ... show more

  • You will be disappointed
Color: Gray
I haven't had an alarm clock in at least 10 years. I remember the 80's alarms still with the red digital numbers! I got a new job and decided I wanted an alarm that would wake me with radio (instead of my cell phone alarm). After some research and thinking mistakenly that an expensive alarm might be worth it I chose this one. I did read the reviews but decided to take a chance. I have returned it because as many others have said, it works the first couple weeks and then it becomes "possessed" and starts changing settings on its own. The big complaints I have are as follows. I set the alarm sound to wake me up at "1" which was the lowest and still too loud but after 2-weeks it adjusted on its own to"9" (yes I levitated out of bed!). The buttons on the top are too close to the cell phone charger and too easy to hit as you put down your cell to charge. I initially put this on my husbands side of the bed so he could charge his phone and the next thing we knew, the 2nd alarm was going off at midnight! He must have hit some buttons, unless once again the alarm decided on its own to wake us. I moved it to my side of the bed and did not use the charger. I just don't understand why ANY alarm clock would have "0" as a setting for sound? Why would you set an alarm for no sound? Regardless, I made a mistake on this product and encourage you not to try it yourself. It is cheaply made and there are lots of small conveniences missing in it. I googled the top radio alarm clocks and ended up buying the USCCE Digital Dual Alarm Clock Radio, and I must say I LOVE IT! It's cheaper too, and has all the features I'd hoped for! It's a much better made radio alarm clock, and I am a happy camper now! ... show more
