It has the bonus that it provides a darker sleeping space in the longer days of late spring and summer, too. The fabric seems thick enough to be durable. It's like a heavy microfiber, rather than a typical tent nylon, so it doesn't make noise when it shifts around, and it is soft to the touch. It blocks light well enough that we don't worry about closing the curtains when we're trying to get the kid to bed before it is dark outside. It took two of us to get it set up and get the mattress in, but that was at least half because we were assembling it in a small room that didn't give us a lot of room to maneuver. My granddaughter coming to spend a few months this summer with us and needs to have a private space that is nice and dark to help her sleep, bought this tent along with a camping cot. I bought this sleep tent for personal use at my parents' home. I am a terrible insomniac with light and noise sensitivity and am tired of wearing an uncomfortable sleep mask. The instructions could have been more clear, but if you've ever put together a basic tent with rods, it's fairly self-explanatory. The material greatly reduces light, but also reduces airflow. To solve the airflow issue, I purchased a small fan and hung it from a hook on the interior ceiling of the tent (it felt amazingly comfortable!). Also, I ran an extension cord through the small zippered pocket on the opposite side of the tent for phone charging/fan/white noise machine. Easy to set up with directions(Basically only two poles that crisscross at the top) once I figured it out. My 11 year old loves it. He was sleeping on the floor(even though he has a bed), all the way under his bed, on top of the heat/cool vent(which worried me). He has some sensory issues at times. Now I feel better that he is safe sleeping in the tent, in his own space, without cramming himself into tight spaces. We haven't had much time with the product yet, but it was easy to assemble and fits over our inflatable toddler bed quite well. We like that it has two door openings, one on each side, as well as two screened windows that can be opened.

I like the feel of the fabric. It’s true to size. Only I thought there would be a open bottom to it, but it’s more like a regular tent with a bottom, which does make it slide around on your bed if you don’t have a bedframe. Great for someone who has to share a room with a sibling.

I purchased this tent for my 5 year old grandson. It can be used inside or outside. But I put it over the bed instead of putting the mattress inside. My grandson loved. I even slept in it!! It’s super sturdy and it is not a baby tent. It’s easy to put together and is a great value for the money. I’d buy another one ... show more

im a night shift worker and its absolutely wonderful for keeping out any type of light. but it came with bed bugs that i didn't even notice until my second day sleeping in it when one fell on me from the creases at the top on the inside.
