This bed rail is great to have. I got it for my mother in law who has been really struggling lately with back pain. She said this was incredibly helpful when getting out of bed. It supported a lot of her weight and didnt feel so painful and she was able to get comfortable for the first time in a long time.     • Perfect size and very helpful for getting out of the bed
I got this for my uncle, who is in terminal end stages of various unfortunate medical conditions. This is so much better than the typical bed rail because he only needs a place to grip with his hand to stand up, not something to keep him in the bed. He has really long legs and we tried a regular bed rail, but it was blocking him from being able to swing his legs over the side of the bed to stand up. This was the perfect solution because the size can be adjusted all the way down to just 16 inches wide, and it can be placed anywhere along the bed where it's useful but not in the way. He says it feels very sturdy with the metal bar that slides all the way under the mattress (he does not feel the bar under the mattress when he's laying in bed), and the sturdy feet with rubber non-slip tips on the floor. The adjustable height was perfect since his bed is a little lower than most to help him be able to get in and out. It was very easy to assemble and install on the bed. Didn't even really need the instructions. The motion night light that comes with it is a really nice bonus. He says that helps a lot when he gets up at night to go to the bathroom. It's a little on the bright side so it tends to wake up my aunt, but at least he can see and has plenty of time to get back in bed before it turns off again. The storage pouch is also a nice place to put the tv remote and a couple other items to keep them somewhat within reach. It's not as convenient as you'd think tho, because it's basically over the side of the bed away from the person in the bed, and it's hard to reach through the bar to take things out when you're in the bed.
