  • It's a cheap carrier, you get what you pay for.
Size: 32.5"L x 19"W x 18"H Color: Red
So this was bought for a very specific purpose, and served that purpose well, but likely won't survive much beyond that single purpose. I have a 15 year old cat who gets anxious and carsick. And we decided to move to a new city around 3 hours away, and I was the one moving the cat and our 2 year old human child, so stopping on the side of the road or at rest stops was something I wanted to minimize to all extents possible. But this cat has never been in a car more than 15-20 minutes without vomiting or pooping all over whatever carrier she was in, sometimes multiple times and on one traumatic (for all of us) occasion, necessitating a bath at our destination. After a ton of research, I determined that my best bet short of medicating her (which, at her age, her vet wasn't thrilled about, nor was I really looking to add "take carsick geriatric cat to the vet" to my to-do list on a day I'm supervising the packing and loading of my entire house with said cat and 2 year old), was buying a larger carrier and hoping for the best. Now as I said, cat is 15. I was honestly having some doubts about whether the trip might be the end of her, and even if it's not, she won't be taking too many more long car trips, if any, so I was not about to shell out three figures for some Cadillac carrier. I just wanted something that would contain her for the move, fit in my backseat with the car seat, and allow her to not feel claustrophobic for three hours. This thing fit the bill for about $20. Now, it didn't fit the bill neatly. First of all, it never stood up straight when opened. It has a lilt to the side about 20 degrees that I can't figure out how to fix. That didn't hamper it fitting in my backseat, but it does limit its utility as a long-term cat bed or anything like that. The fabric is 100% cheap-as-it-comes nylon. It will not hold up to a scratchy cat, or any type of excitable small dog or anything like that. The zipper barely worked, and the windows are... Let's just say I wouldn't put an animal with any drive to escape in this thing. Thankfully, my girl is docile and just yells when she's somewhere she isn't happy, until she goes to sleep. She's no kind of Houdini and I've seen stealthier donkeys. That said, it popped open easily and stood up, if leaning. I was able to layer several old towels and pee pads in the bottom and she still had plenty of space, and it fit behind the drivers seat in my newer model Forester across one side and the middle. It was a little squished between the door and my son's massive rear-facing car seat, but the door closed and it stayed on the seat (though I drive very far back, and the carrier needed the support of the drivers seat. If you're one of those drivers who likes to chew on your steering wheel, you may need to put it behind the passenger seat and move that all the way back for support). And most importantly, it got her from point A to point B in much calmer fashion than I've ever seen her in the car. She was clearly displeased with her lot in life when I shoved her in (I carried her in my arms from the house to the car, this thing will NOT bear weight, plus it's too big and clunky to try to maneuver with an annoyed animal inside), and she gave me a stern talking-to for the first maybe 20 minutes, then she laid down and went to sleep. I had grand plans of putting a tiny litter box in there with her, but alas, that didn't happen, so when she started yowling about an hour from our destination I pulled over to find she'd pooped. So I just took the top layer of towel and pee pad off, right out from under her, shoved it in a trash bag, and continued on down the road, and there was more than enough space for this maneuver without removing her from the carrier. Once relieved of her bowel movement, she curled up and went back to sleep, and that's how I found her when we arrived at her new home. I never did get it to fold completely again. I got it flat, but not back into the little dinnerplate shape. But whatever, it lives tucked behind a shelf now, and occasionally my son plays in it. If and when it dies, I will not be disappointed. It served its singular purpose with honor and dignity, and I have no complaints. I bought a cheap carrier, I got a cheap carrier, and it performed as one would expect a cheap carrier to perform. For that, it gets a good rating from me. ... show more

  • Great for the price
Size: 32.5"L x 19"W x 18"H Color: Black
I was pleasantly surprised. The small is very roomy. It could actually take a medium dog comfortably. I think the quality for the price is fair. This will work great for travel which is what I bought it for.

  • Not very sturdy, but big enough to transport a cat in a car with a litter box and room to sleep
Size: 32.5"L x 19"W x 18"H Color: Orange
I bought two of these to transport my two cats on a recent 1,500 mile move. They aren’t particularly sturdy, but I positioned them in the middle of the SUV on the top of the laid-down backseats, put a travel litter pan in each, and hoped for the best. The cats were transported to the car in their small backpack carriers, which they hate and can’t stay in for very long. FatCat (panic pooper Maine Coon mix) ripped the seams on his within a few hours by head butting the front with displeasure. After realizing there would be no quick escape (and after his gapabentin kicked in), he calmed down and went to sleep. SmallCat (historically the car sick but handsome and quieter cat who does not require meds for travel) did a few circles and settled down for a nap in his own carrier. He didn’t test the seams, zippers, or structural integrity - so his still looks brand new. Both used their own litter pans as needed and were shockingly calm - I think this was because they had room to move and didn’t feel trapped. Bottom line - they worked for a 3 day car trip but know the following: - Not super well made, but good enough for the limited purposes for which I used them. - Don’t try to carry pets in them. Definitely won’t hold if they weigh more than a few pounds. - Big enough to hold a travel litter pan and a very large cat with room to maneuver. - Helped keep carsick cat chill and, in combo with meds, kept an anxious cat less anxious. Worth it. ... show more

  • Compact
Size: 32.5"L x 19"W x 18"H Color: Purple
Was perfect for flying stored easily. The only problem was flaw in the mesh near zipper. It separated and formed hole

  • Great for a mellow dog.
Size: 32.5"L x 19"W x 18"H Color: Orange
I used this for a dog going through heartworm treatment at home and it worked great. That was a very calm dog. Then I tried it in the car on an active dog. He wanted nothing to do with it and the kennel and it would not work for him as he jumped around inside since the sides are so thin. I had to resort to a regular cage in the car. So...depends on your dog. ... show more

  • Great for travel and temporary time outs.
Size: 32.5"L x 19"W x 18"H Color: Orange
We have two of these. One orange, one purple. We use them when our kittens decide to fight or get on one another's last nerve. A 10 minute or short nap break later, they are good to go. These collapse fairly well, but folding them to their original sizes takes the patience and skill of a Master Yogi. Best of all, these are easy to clean with a quick blast of hose water and nylon-safe detergent. 5 minutes in the sun and they are nice and dry and ready to use again. Only real issue we have had is one of the kittens jumped on the purple kennel, and bent one of the rods, and we have never been able to completely straighten it back to its original shape. Kind of disappointing since it was a 4lb kitten, so it didn't take much to bend it. So now the purple one has a slight gimp to it. Not deal-breaking considering the price, but I'll be very surprised if these last a year, based on how easily they are damaged. Still, for times where separation is needed, these work great. Time outs, post-surgery recovery, family visits, and travel these will be well used. A solid B. ... show more

  • Good When You're Safe and Secure
Size: 32.5"L x 19"W x 18"H Color: Orange
This crate did its job whilst camping this summer. I would not use this to leave an animal inside for an extended period of time, or out in the open, it did great in my tent.

  • For cross country trip
Size: 32.5"L x 19"W x 18"H Color: Red
I bought this months before traveling from california to New York. It took the cat two months to get inside. Treats, pheromones….finally! It’s huge: takes up 3/4 of the back seat in a 2020 Subaru Impreza. But hopefully it gives him space, less anxiety (he pukes, screams and pees on 10 min trips). Had to watch the video a bunch to fold it up again it’s not intuitive but whatever- it’s for one major trip then who cares. ... show more
