I live in a basement apartment that isn’t equipped with a kitchen so I use small appliances to cook with and this is the best I’ve found. Nothing sticks to it and it heats quickly. I’ve cooked a few different things in it since having it and they’ve all turned out great. It even cooks a great steak!

I bought this Bear Hot Pot Electric appliance several months ago. I love how fast that is cooks and the easy clean up. During the recent hurricane (Helene) we are without power (as well as many others) When Helene past by, we plugged in the generator and I was trying to figure out how to prepare something to eat when I remembered the Bear Hot Pot. We have been able to cook anything in this pot from eggs to meat, etc. The clean up is amazing as there is no sticking you can just wipe clean. We have a cabin without a stove. We use this and an electric skillet to cook our meals. This pot we cook breakfast in. Eggs, bacon, and pancakes! You can boil water and make pasta or whatever your heart desires. Whatever you make in a small cookpot on your stove at home, you can do is this little miracle pot. I had the smaller version and I absolutely loved it. It had a stainless steel inside and was nice and tall but it is very small. I hoped the new one I was getting from the same company would be just as great. It works well but is VERY shallow. It’s just 2.5 inches deep. It’s difficult to boil eggs in because if you fill to over the eggs the water boils over the pot. It does this with anything I boil unless it is just a very small amount. This does exactly as described. I use this in my semi truck and doesn’t even put a pull on inverter on the 1000 watt setting, on an 1800 watt inverter. It wipes clean with a paper towel, non stick and it doesn’t get hot to the touch except along the rim of the pot. I use it to heat up leftovers from home, but don’t see any reason why you could actually cook with it. Soon I’ll be getting another one as a back up. ... show more

Since I'm cooking for just myself, I found this and it's very convenient. I can make spaghetti in this or for heating up leftovers quickly. I also like that because of its size, it takes less electricity to use than a stove. I am very happy with this purchase.

    • Have your ingredients ready before turning it on
Pot heats up very quickly! I've made omelettes, pasta, shaved steak for a sandwich, a single serve stir fry, etc. The only issue is that even on the lower setting, it's very hot. Not good for holding food after it's cooked. A little spray oil and nothing sticks. Just be sure to have your ingredients all ready before you turn it on because it'll be hot very quickly. I'm happy with my purchase and if anything happened to it, I'd buy another one just like it. **UPDATE** I use this pot a couple times per week.
