    • Great quality, doesn't leak at all!
I've hesitated to buy these because all the plastic lids I've ever tried have leaked. And these were pricier then the non-ball lids. But I'm so glad I got them! They dont leak at all, even when jar is turn upside down. They are super tough and just a great quality. They do exactly what they say they do. Love them. ... show more

    • Perfect fit for wide mouth
I wanted to store coffee in the fridge in wide mouth mason jars, and did not have an appropriate lid for the jars. These lids fit perfectly on my wide mouth Ball mason jars. They do seem to be leak proof, at least for regular use, and they kept the "fridge flavor" out of my coffee. Perfect for my use! ... show more

Sometimes it is the simple things. The lip on the top of the lid. You might be asking yourself, what does that really matter? Well... How many times have you struggled to remove the lid from a jar? So you grab the nearest towel and give it a try before you go fishing for where you may have buried your canning lid wrench last year. Your hand slips from the lid just when think you feel that it should be giving way under that towel. Pain in that moment. You feel me? PAIN! The pain of your poor little wrist! It slowly recovers from this unstable torque release. Pain that can effect you for days sometimes. Well... That little lip tells your hand where the edge of the lid is thru a towel. It helps keep that towel (that you know you are going to use) from slipping as easilly. It can save your wrist. And a healthy wrists is easilly worth the price of admission for this ride. The grip texture is on the upper edge of the outside rim of the lid. This is again where you want it when using your hands to remove the lid. It is labeled BPA free. Plastic type 5 with two p's underneith ( don't know what that means ). It was designed in the USA and manufactured in Malaysia. Would buy again. ... show more

If you use your canning jars for various storage purposes you will love these lids since they will not rust like the canning lids expecially if you like to wash them in the diswasher. It should go without saying that they are not intended for actual canning but I will say it anyway.

The product title says they're regular mouth lids then at the end in paranthese it says wide. Well which is it?! Wide, apparently. I ordered these to replace the set of wide lids I had already bought by mistake. Useless and misleading.

    • Sturdy, actually leak proof, and easy to clean.
I had great doubts. But they do work. I will be buying more. I use them for half gallon jugs in the refrigerator. Beside keeping tea in, it keeps refrigerator growy things out. The white lids I had been using would get moldy, quickly. And the tea would get a funny taste. The jars had to be cleaned very often. Not so much with these. Still, since I don't have to clean as often, I still clean more than is needed... keeping up is much easier. I will eventually use these for other things, now that I trust them to work. Why didn't they make all the caps like this. Was it really that hard? A bit pricey, perhaps they just wanted to upcharge for what should have been a nominal utility. Still, it... works. ... show more
