  • The bench broke and almost killed me!
Not a sturdy product! I could have been seriously injured today! While benching 225lbs today, the bolt holding the back support of the bench snapped and back support of bench collapsed as I was working out! If you review your records you will see that I haven't had this bench set a year.. smh

  • DANGEROUS...!!! UPDATE... Taken it all in, and it is SO BAD!
LESS THAN THREE MONTHS OF USE... CATASTROPHIC FAILURE! The incline bench SNAPPED OFF while she was using it with light dumbbells. My wife weighs less than 130lbs and she ended up on the floor and she could have been seriously injured. We were exceptionally lucky this did not happen while she was using a barbell, anything heavier or with the bench inside the power cage; it would have been so much worse. I cannot imagine if I had used this myself or anyone larger than a petite sub 130lb person. I am so frustrated and disappointed in the catastrophic failure AND I URGE anyone reading this to invest a little bit more money to ensure your own safety and the safety of your families and friends who may use your equipment. I recommend a HARD PASS on this product ATFIRST... before the failure I reviewed the difficulties in assembly... This was a bit of my initial review prior to the equipment failing with my wife on it. Assembly was not great. Some of the pieces did not fit together without a substantial amount of modification with power tools. The larger problem there is that it happens three quarters of the way into the assembly so you are so invested that the thought of dealing with potential returns or replacement processes are too daunting. Once together, it is a little bit shaky when you are using anything larger than 35lb plates. And the cushions and pads are also probably suited for lighter or smaller users. ... show more

  • I love my bench
I have to say that I almost sent it back because some of the holes were too small for the screws. this was a major defect but I am glad amazon convinced me to keep it. I had the holes machined and I love my bench.

  • Not bad set for price
Not bad, pretty easy to assemble. Considering you get squat rack AND arm curly with bench, this made it worth it. Good value for money. Packaging was terrible, parts all tossed in box. Came faster than expected.

  • For $200 it’s ok, but not high quality
We bought the for my 15yr old son who is an active athlete. It’s a “starter” bench if you will. Pros: 1) came earlier than expected (in time for Christmas) 2) is not to big, takes up a little more room compared to a treadmill 3) directions were relatively easy( a few steps above putting together IKEA furniture) Cons. 1) box came damaged, with the nuts/bolts package opened and nuts everywhere. (Not sure if this was a returned item) Some of the bars had scratches on them. With a hole in the shipping box it’s a wonder we didn’t lose more things! 2) the seat had 4 holes pre drilled for attachment. They did not line up with the attached piece so my husband had to modify to make it work. 3) two other pieces were partially or fully missing a pre made hole so again my husband to the rescue. I guess you get what you pay for... buy “Made in China” ... get low quality. We could have sent it back but that was more of a hassle than the home modifications. If you are not handy, I might think about buying something higher quality before this one. ... show more

  • Balance RS Workout Bench
Amazing product. The quality and price a great value. Not difficult to assemble. The instruction manual is superbe and you may need a magnifying glass otherwise easy to read and assemble when you create an assembly plan. I worked alone for the most part so it took me about 4 hours plus. The seat was difficult to fasten the 4 screws that alone took 1 hour with help. ... show more

  • Be ready for crossthreading
It has taken me a bit to get this assembled due to the fact that I got so frustrated with the assembly process and how many things just would not mesh well together. The bolts/threaded portions of the metal frame itself "Look" good but when you apply bolt screw and torque the worst happens and you end up cross-threading at least one bolt. The card is well labeled for the items that help assist in putting it together with the nuts and bolts. but when it comes to well-labeled major pieces like the curl bar pin you have to look at the assembly pictures and make the best guess. Suggestion: Add a little flag at the end of the part a sticker would work best with the part number, or even engraved or stamped. Also talking about the curl bar pin, there is no NOT ONE safety item on this other than a weak detent bearing. This is unacceptable. I would suggest spending more money on a well-built and possibly less wonky assembly. Will it do in a pinch? yes. as long as you and the weights are well under the limitation of I think 400lbs. I will be selling this thing as soon as I can with a warning about its safety. but in the current climate, I could get my money back. Spend better - Don't make my mistake. Build better - I can do better with a tig welder and 0 training. this is dumb. ... show more

  • Weld broke after 9 months
Bought in February 2022, the weld snapped December 2022, cheaply made, not worth the money, contacted manufacturer and never got a response!
