My new kittens, Poppy and Nori, needed a bed to snuggle in since they had already outgrown the first bed I’d purchased for them when I brought them home at just over five-weeks-old. I wanted a bed they could share as they got older, if it was their choice to keep sleeping curled up together (they are sister littermates), so it needed to be big enough and able to handle the wear and tear of two cats. I found the Balance brand and saw its high reviews and decided to give it a try. When the bed arrived, I saw that it is by far the best cat bed I’ve ever purchased (I’ve had kitties in my life for over forty-five years, for reference.) The mattress is thick and supportive, the outside bed “frame” is solid and will hold up, even though it is cozy and snuggly at the same time. But best of all, the furry covering is such high quality that I wish it was large enough that I could sink into it and take a nap. Poppy immediately crawled into bed and started kneading away, making biscuits like her little life depended on it. It was the first time in the three weeks I had the kittens that I had seen either of the two do that. The bed obviously reminded her of her mama, and gave her a great degree of comfort. She started purring up a storm and eventually fell asleep. Shortly afterwards, her sister, Nori, crawled in next to her and the two fell asleep for a very long nap. This bed is so well made it is worth the price, even though it is slightly more expensive than others. This is the second cat bed I’ve purchased in a little over a month and the quality of this one is definitely superior to the first. I highly recommend this and believe the large size will accommodate both cats when they are full grown. ... show more

This bed is very soft and plush. Our cat in the photo is a little misleading in that this is a large size bed and while it may seem cozy, when he wraps himself around the interior walls to sleep, there's almost enough room for a second cat. There is a rubberized bottom to keep it from sliding and all the materials feel good to the touch. It's tall enough that climbing in may be a challenge for a kitten but an adult cat shouldn't have any problems. My cat has been using the bed every day since I got it (2 weeks ago). It’s soft, pretty, has no smell and the border is sturdy, so when my cat lays his paws or head on it, it doesn’t sink, but provides support. Great cat item!

I have 2 almost 8 month old male kittens and they outgrew their old bed. They are very bonded and love to snuggle up and sleep together. They fit very nicely in this new bed with plenty of room. The bed is definitely as advertised. It is super soft and deep enough for them to bury themselves in. The media could not be loaded. I got the size 20” and couldn’t be happier! It is gorgeous and comfy. I was worried the size might be too small for my cat but it is perfect. It is beautiful and has a nice aesthetic while also being incredibly cozy for the kitty. As with any cat, it took her a few tries before she decided she liked it. Within 30 minutes she was playing in the bed and now she is napping in it. I know she will love it for a long time and have amazing naps in it. I have 3 siamese and they are very particular about their bedding but as soon as I unpacked this bed and set it up they jumped right in and I can't get them out of it. I ordered the medium size 28" and all three (Nala 7.5 lbs, Gigi aka "Little G" 8.5lbs, and CoCo 8lbs ). They are long and lean and need a little wiggle room, and they have it in this bed. In other beds I would find CoCo halfway tucked in the crease... poor thing. One thing to keep in mind is if you have cats that throw up from time to time it's best to get a furry blanket to make clean up easy. I love the material (kinda reminds me of corduroy), color and design. The material is plush without looking cheap. The walls of the bed are high and durable, but thinner than some other pet beds, so if I have to wash it, it will dry faster. I've purchased several beds and this is by far the best in terms of quality and warmth. I bought 2 of them. Love love love this bed! ... show more
