Easy to install had in in about39 minutes after it arrived. Metal on top is a little soft, dropped a couple things seemed to dent easily, but kept the water out and was easy to unfold. Bought a truck cap and tried to sell on FB still waiting after about 3 months. Resale is not real good.

This is the second Bakflip G2 that I have bought, as I also had one on my old truck. When it is closed and the tailgate is locked, it is very difficult to open. The bed and contents stay dry, as well. It only takes about an hour or less to install and it is quite easy to do so.     • Unsafe, leaked, defects
I was not happy with this at all. It leaked on both sides of the rails. Took me a while to fix the weather strip that rests inside the bed rail and the rubber going down both sides was wavy. However, the biggest problem was that one of the folds was missing a latch to lock it. Custom service was quick and nice. I got a new lock but had no instructions on how to install it. The BAKFlip was easy to install for the most part. First thing I noticed was an improvement in gas mileage on the first day. The trip monitor hasn't been reset in a long while so the MPG has stayed steady. On the first day, the MPG ticked up 2/10. May not seem like a lot but for the number of miles, it was. The BAKFlip isn't water-tight. We had heavy rains and water made it through the first seam, between Panel 1 and Panel 2. I noticed it wasn't lying flat against the driver's side of the bed. Because of the way it is packaged, the side seals get kinked, which prevents it from lying flat. For the most part, I'm happy with it. ... show more

    • Poor Quality and Design
Bought it because I needed a tonneau cover that folded up to expose the whole bed so I can fit my bike in the back. Does as it says. Seems to work. Decent to install. Will update on water resistance. EDIT: decent water protection. Works as expected. BUT Poor quality and design. Came with a broken strut. Came with a metal shaving that sliced a hole in one of the joints and cut the metal. I’m going to run it because it’ll be more effort to go through the replacement than anything else. I recommend getting another brand. ... show more
