  • Good truck. Get extra steering servo arm
Style: AXI03019
Great truck for my grandson. I like that you can turn down the power so it’s doesn’t go so fast. By an extra steering servo arm. That broke with a straight on hit to the front. So I ordered an aluminum one instead of the plastic.

  • Needs some extra mods, but in all it seems very fun!
Style: AXI03019
I love rc cars and rc toys in general. I’m not a hobbiest, just love to play with them to get my mind off of stressors. This review I’m starting off with the con first... Con: Replace the front sprocket before you do ANYTHING! I got this for Xmas and within 10 minutes BAM it broke! Ensure to buy a 23t survo and the survo horn (metal)! There’s tons of upgradable parts for this RC truck! Look into before you have the plastic parts break within minutes of playing especially when it’s supposed to jump, take hits and more. One smack into a crib and I was done. Pro: This truck has some get up and go!!! Easy controls, turns quickly and very responsive! Also seems to have a really good range as well. (Didn’t get the chance to test all that much). I will say, once I get my parts in, I’ll be running this all over the place! Doing upgrades to it and excited I got it! ... show more

  • Looks cool. Quality control could be better.
Style: AXI03019
Very nice Axial product however their quality control is really dropping the ball. 3 of the 4 shocks were leaking oil everywhere right out of the box. The esc was defective. The included Warranty: I had to go through Horizon Hobby for warranty and it was a major fiasco. You can't even talk to anyone. You have to talk to an automated chat bot, then a live chat where your problem is not resolved. Then they will send you an email with 32 and a half million hoops you'll need to jump through properly in order for them to evaluate and decide the validity of your warranty claim...if they accept it then you might get your repair parts. Nice. The model itself is very nice with the exception of the detective parts. Get those lined out and it's great. ... show more

  • Esc cutting in and out, maybe a fluke
Style: AXI03019
Works great until it doesn’t. Maybe a bad esc but cuts in and out after a few minutes of running.

  • Lemon or status quo?!?!
Style: AXI03019
Update 2/11/21: I bought a new motor for this truck and it ran well for a week, then it cut out. It seems to be an esc problem. After removing the millions of hex screws to get to the smallest of parts, I’s say at least half of these screw heads are stripped. They seem to use very soft screws. I have to drill out two screws. I was a huge fan of Axial till this point. It seems they really cheapened out with this model. I got this for my son for Christmas and boy was he excited! The 4wd system, fast motor, and big tires! Unfortunately, on the first run, the truck wouldn’t steer right. Checked it out (I used to build my own) and realized that the servo saver was not functioning correctly. I looked through the spare parts and there were no spare pieces I could use. Went to my personal stash of parts and found something that would be a temporary fix so he could enjoy Christmas. I contacted Amazon and was given a “One-time” fix, which was some money back so I could buy and install my own servo saver. Now today, My son tried to use his RC. And it turns on, steering works, but it looks like the motor no longer works!!! Really?!?! $300 for an RC that didnmt operate correctly on day 1, and with a burned out motor on maybe the 6th use. Btw, running it with a 2s battery which shouldn’t have caused a bad motor. ... show more

  • Fun, durable Yard Basher
Style: AXI03019
Who doesn't like Grave Digger? This have been a fun, durable yard basher for my grandkids who absolutely love it. Its been taking a beating and holding up well...nothing has broke yet. I like that I can control throttle levels so I can tailor to the age and experience of the "driver". The only negative, albeit small negative, is it goes through a battery (LiPo) pretty fast. I have two other RC trucks and Grave Digger is the first to hit battery shut off. ... show more

  • No servo clip wasn’t able to run it for a week after I got it.
Style: AXI03019
I have wanted this for years. When I receive it today there was not a clip in the servo which makes it useless! Very disappointed to not be able to run it and have to wait a week on a part that was missed by the factory and not included ! If you buy one and the front wheels won’t turn look and see it there is a metal clip on the servo I bet there won’t be ! ... show more
