Had one a few years ago, love it. Motor stopped. Went to look for it and found it again at lower price. It cuts well, super sharp, can do a trash bag worth of documents before overheating. Not the fastest shredder but very usable for the price

This is an excellent product. I got it, immediately put it to work after oiling it (as should be done with any shredder, especially cross-cut units. I went through an accumulated 3+" stack of papers, bills, advertisements in less than 10 min and could have done faster if I had really worked at it. NO jams, NO over heating. Turns off quickly after shredding page(s) and auto start worked every time very quickly. The included basket is good too. It is of a semi-flexible plastic, so should hold up over years a lot better than hard rigid plastic which would be more prone to crack. This is the best price on a decent cross-cut home unit I have seen. No it is not an OFFICE heavy duty shredder but that is clearly stated in description and 8 pages is about the MAXIMUM it will take, I limited my feeding it to 2-4 pages which went through a lot faster than anything over 4. Probably more than twice as fast. It is NOT a high security shredder either, the pieces are 5 mm X 40 mm (~1/4"X1.5"). It does make some noise but is no louder than many other shredders I have used. You do have to pay attention when putting sheets in it as slot is a bit narrow, probably for safety. It is also moderately heavy for a home shredder, but hope this is a good thing as it may hold up better being made of heavier, more sturdy materials. With limited use, I highly recommend this little unit for moderately heavy HOME use. NOTE: Be sure to OIL this unit as the manual states, especially before using after a previous heavy session or on at least a monthly basis would be my recommendation if it is frequently used for 1-12 pages a few times a week. Simple maintenance of one's tools and equipment can prevent a lot of failures and frustration, but too few people seem to do this and then blame the product. ... show more
