Love it. Just wanted to try something different. Love the fact it was already assembled.

  • Overall very good experience for somebody who didn't know what they were doing!
Color: 5w Long Focus Laser
The media could not be loaded. So, full confession…we've done a lot of 3D printing, but had never done laser engraving before. It was a little bit of a learning curve, and not everything went off without a hitch, but once we figured out the software and how to adjust the laser arm of the table, we were able to get some pretty good etching. If you look up this product on YouTube, you can tell that folks who know what they're doing really appreciate this engraver/cutter. There are a number of ways to use this, and it will etch on quite a variety of materials. We had purchased some wood coasters to practice on and we're glad we started with an inexpensive medium. After a number of small failures we were able to get things dialed in and get some pretty good etching which you'll see featured in the video. We spent quite a bit of time looking on YouTube watching videos and tutorials and I do think spending some time there is essential. We clearly have not used this laser to the full potential but we're excited for some future projects. I do think you really have to consider if your goals are detailed etching or actual cutting, because this particular laser is great for cutting but less so for detail. As somebody who has never done etching or laser cutting before, I can recommend this as a really quick start and quality machine at a reasonable price. Assembly was quick and easy, and again once we figured out the learning curve on the software we were able to get some good projects going. ... show more

  • Much better than my old NEJE
Color: 5w Long Focus Laser
Have been using this for a couple months now and haven't really had a single issue. The software for the old NEJE i was using previously was a little more drag and drop user friendly but was extremely limited. This one works with lightburn and the engraving quality is soooo much better now. I really had no idea what I was missing until i got this. A+ ... show more

  • Perfect for a beginner
Color: 5w Long Focus Laser
This is good if you're thinking of messing around with a Laser Engraver but aren't sure. It's not that expensive and it's very good quality. The cutting bed is a little small but you can still do a lot with it. I got a honeycomb platform and it improved the quality of the cutting quite a bit. You can get them on Amazon for about $30 ... show more

  • Great Entry Level Laser Engraver
Color: 5w Long Focus Laser
This is a basic / entry level laser engraver. It has a great features of being very portable, easy to put up and take down. The cost is on the low end for laser engravers, and comes with everything you need to get started. It supports more advanced software then what you get out of the box, so if this is something that you really get in to, than there is room to grow. There is a learning curve with this to get the best results, so expect to experiment a lot and spend some time learning. Overall a great entry level product. ... show more

  • Fun to use!
Color: 5w Long Focus Laser
Setting up this laser engraver was relatively easy with the instructions supplied. I had some trouble with it going through all the motions, but not engraving anything. Through lots of trouble shooting, videos by Aufero, and finally another video, I found out one wire often comes unplugged during shipment. I plugged that wire back in and it works. There is definitely a learning curve, but it's fun and interesting. I look forward to gaining knowledge and experience to produce quality items. ... show more

  • Very cool engraver
Color: 5w Long Focus Laser
This is a very cool engraver. This was the first I have ever used and it worked really well. There were a lot of parts in the box and you dont need them. The laser head gets attached with 2 small black set screws and then plugged into power and a small ground plug attached, thats it. I'm sure the other parts have a purpose, but I did not use them on my first runs. The drivers installed automatically for me on Windows 11, but I believe they use the standard USB to Serial CH380 drivers, which I already had installed for radios. The driver installation tool looked very straightforward. You have your choice on what engraver software you use, this laser does NOT come with engraver software. The manual has you use LaserGRBL, which is an opensource software that works pretty well, its basic, but it works. There is another piece of software referenced in the manual, but that was a paid for product. My first test was a small name engraving on the pineboard samples that came with the laser. Then we tested engraving names on an Airpod case and a water bottle, both worked just fine and took under 15 seconds for a name. The puppy engraving you see is on pineboard and took about 4 minutes to engrave. The only issues I ran into were LaserGRBL thinking that the laser head was out of bounds, but a quick press of the reset button fixed that. That was NOT an issue with the engraver itself. Excited to continue to learn and figure out what I can do with this! ... show more
