    • Audio control quality, out of control bass!
If you are looking to build a serious system for competitive use then you will want every competitive advantage you can get without sacrificing quality. Audio control only makes top notch components no matter what you need. The first component i ever owned from AC was a eqx series 2 back in 1995 and it did not disappoint. Nowadays everything has evolved into high tech, very high power systems where wattage is in kilowatts and the amplifiers that are putting out this power need a high quality, stable and regulated signal. The matrix plus will do exactly that and do it well. Using the lights on the unit to dial signal gain makes it much easier to set your gains. Although most probably don't have an oscilloscope i still use it on the outputs to make sure I have a clip and distortion free waveform = clean output. I used this before my dsp ultimately feeding 2 3kw amps powering 4 x 18s and just the addition of this took me from 150db to 158db. I couldn't believe the difference but now I'm sold and wouldn't build a comp system without one. If you are unsure if you need one, don't be. Took a few hours to install due to finding somewhere to put it near the head unit. Signal is cleaner and stronger. Amazing stuff Audio Control puts out.

    • Exactly what I was looking for
This little unit helped solve a low output volume going to my subs from my ATOTO android / Linux based head unit. As well as helped increase a little extra volume going to my main speakers. it helped me accomplish getting a $220 deck tp function and sound like a high end pioneer that would cost well over a $1000.     • Ruined my T400 amp
#1 Do not buy from Amazon Audio Control will not honor warranty buy it from Crutchfield or another legit distributor!!!!!!!! #2 upon installation by a journeyman electrician system sounded worse with a mean feed back sound and distortion. It would go away and come back with a vengeance. He removed the matrix from the system and the problem persisted. I bought this as a Christmas present for my self and now I ruined my $500 T400 Rockford Fosgate amp RCAs Pease some one take heed!!! ... show more

    • Get nice strong signal
AC quality, the new smaller size is very nice, will give you up to 9.5v RMS clean. Only thing I would like to see is a on/off for the PFM. Also check the settings inside, mine came in unbalanced mode even though the manual states it ships in balance mode, maybe was changed during QC testing, I had horrid noise until I switched the jumpers for each channel. Now I have 0 noise and a strong signal ... show more

    • Makes your system much stronger
My system always sounded weak, had to keep volume high just to hear it most of the time (noise/whine included). Installed the Matrix, set my gains and holy moly it came to life. Door speakers are punchy and clear, subs are hitting twice as hard. I feel like my speakers are now being pushed hard and music comes in clear with no background noise . Line driver works great. Problem was the plug in which the power, ground and remote screw in to was missing. Contacted seller and was offered a refund or was told that I can contact the company directly, neither of which was what I wanted. Ended up pulling the plug out from my old line driver and using it for the new one. Would of rated 5 stars if seller offered to obtain and ship the missing part. ... show more
