Description

The LDG AT-100ProII is a general purpose automatic tuner suitable for many amateur applications. It covers 1.8-54 MHz, and features a two-position antenna switch allowing instant switching between two antennas. The AT-100ProII requires just 1 watt for operation but will handle up to 125 watts, making it suitable for everything from QRP to a typical 100 watt transceiver. Like most LDG tuners the AT-100ProII operates automatically, beginning a tuning cycle whenever the SWR exceeds a preset limit. The AT-100ProII also features LDG’s advanced memory tuning, providing 2,000 memory locations; when tuning near a previously used frequency it will recall the settings for nearly instant tuning. It learns your favorite frequencies and bands as you use it. You can also start a tuning cycle manually whenever necessary. Large, easy-to-read LED bargraphs show forward and reverse power in peak or average mode, and SWR. Two power scales are provided: 12.5 watts and 125 watts. The bargraphs also indicate tuner status and input confirmations. The AT-100ProII uses LDG’s state-of-the-art, processor-controlled Switched-L tuning network. It will match dipoles, verticals, inverted-Vees or virtually any coax-fed antenna. With an optional LDG balun, you can also use longwires or antennas fed with ladder-line. It handles 100 watts SSB or 50 watts FM/Digital when used with a solid-state transceiver; vacuum tube transmitters cut the power ratings about in half. The AT-100ProII uses latching relays which retain the tuned configuration indefinitely even when the unit is powered down. The latching relays also enable extremely low power consumption; when not actively tuning the AT-100ProII draws next to no power at all. This makes it suitable for portable or mobile operation from batteries. All LDG tuners come with a two year fully transferable warranty and LDG’s legendary customer service.

  • Best value.
This tuner is built in a traditional fashion (led & push button). No fancy lcd display or anything else that could go bad. Simple and functional. Truly intelligent tuner. Pick a frequency, set the tuner to auto, and fire low power, it will look for the best match ( it will take sometime the first time you tune to any given frequency), once tuned to the lowest match, it memorizes it in a memory slot so the next time you go to the frequency it will tune it INSTANTLY. Two antenna ports really comes in handy, you can switch it to a better receive antenna on port b and back to port b for transmit antenna if that’s what you use or you can have two totally different antennas to switch in different bands. The manual tuning comes in handy when the antenna is deficient and confuses the tuner by introducing unwanted RF on the board. You can manually assist the tuner, and in many cases get a flat match with a not so good antenna, again you should have a well design antenna system so the most signal goes out, but it is a good manual feature to get you out of a pinch in a difficult antenna situation. Power and SWR led’s are bright and very well configured (it gives an accurate value). It is metal , compact and well built. I will buy a second one for mobile operation. Love it. ... show more

  • Works great
Using for MARS ALE. Competitive price with other dealers. I did have to increase the re-tune return ratio to 1.9/1 since the antenna I am using is not a good match for some of the frequencies that I use with ALE. ALE requires 2 second tuning. As long as it doesn't re-tune, It works great. I also use it with Winlink Express (and my ICOM radio). It is also nice to know that my Smile purchases also help the Amateur Radio Safety Foundation. The Winlink folks. ... show more

  • Full function auto/ manual tuner
I run this mobile on a Kenwood ts-50 . I use a 102" whip for ant 1 and it tunes 12,11 and 10m just fine. For ant 2 I use a MFJ wandering lead and it tunes every band. I use full auto and the swr set at 1.5. A couple of tips, 1 it runs through a tune cycle if the swr is above what your setting is so set it a little higher than you want or it will run a tune cycle every time you key up. (Example, if you have the swr set at 1.1 to 1 and the best it can tune is a 1.3 to 1 then it will try to tune every time you key up. Set it to 1.5 to 1 and it will stay on the 1.3 to 1 setting). 2 when it runs a tune cycle it also checks bypass mode so if your antenna is resonant at the freq it will automatically go into bypass mode and will stay there, you won't be able to get it out of bypass (bypass light will be on and won't shut off) on that freq. It isn't broken. Its because the antenna doesn't need tuning however, the meters will still work. I haven't used it in manual mode and don't intend to. ... show more

  • Restocking fee for return of defective items.
I bought this with high hopes but it would not tune either of my radios. I have a Yaesu ft-891 and a President Lincoln II +. After many days of tinkering it became evident that it was defective and would not tune. I went back to using my mfj-945E witch does work. I returned the LDG tuner to the seller. They gave a refund but charged a $43.00 re-stocking fee. Beware. ... show more

  • Only 30 watts on FT8 - Beware!
Beware! - only 30 watts allowed in digital modes. It digital limitation is in the fine print. Not cool. Not a good tuner for FT8. Killed mine in 40 days using 90 watts and only fixing a 3 or 4 to 1 SWR on FT8.

  • Fantastic companion to Icom Radios that do not have built ...
Fantastic companion to Icom Radios that do not have built in tuners but are plumbed for one. I've added one to an IC-718 and an IC-7100 with the appropriate cable (Sold separately) that activates the tuner button on these radios and controls this tuner. This is a fantastic upgrade from my MFJ manual tuner. Love this tuner, great price and great performance for 100 watts. The dual antenna input is a nice feature too. ... show more
