  • Zaps bugs within minutes like everyone said!
Style: 20w Bug Zapper+2Bulbs
We live in a home located right next to many acres of woods and two lakes. The gnats and flies here are insane. Not only outside but also inside no matter what we tried sadly. I bought this because it was flat and could be strategically placed against the wall above our trash can in our laundry room next to the outside door and kitchen and.. Oh my the other reviews didn't lie!!! This thing started popping within minutes! I am glad i put it where i did. It is a little loud but it really did pretty much completely stop our flying insect issue! I mean even our fruit is safe a room away. We have had it plugged in and turned on since June 12th 2024 and it is currently Aug. 11 th and i haven't had to replace a bulb but It does come with replacement ones. So far so good though! I will come back and post an update one day. ... show more

  • It really works -- so powerful that the loud ZAP will make you jump out of bed!!
Style: 20w Bug Zapper+2Bulbs
It's summertime and I have teensy tiny little flying bugs in my apartment in scorching hot Louisiana. I know they're there, but they call them "No See 'Ums" for a very good reason. I sprayed flying insect killer but the only one who got sick was me, not the bugs. So out of desperation I bought this product. A few minutes before the delivery came, a fly got into my living room and I couldn't catch it. I unpacked the box, plugged the product in, and within minutes I heard this huge crackling sound of an electric shock, and that fly was toast! That sound is just soooo satisfying!!! I moved the product to different locations around my home but the best place is near light sources like my TV and computer screens which attract the tiny annoying insects. The bugs can't resist the pretty bluish color of the light and just when you think they aren't around, a giant ZAP crackle pop lets you know this product is fulfilling your wildest exterminating dreams. It's surprising to see just how small the bugs actually are once they're dead. The startling sound does make me jump out of bed, but I'm so happy these little beasties are meeting their maker that it's more than worth being spooked. This product WORKS and I hope you enjoy it every bit as much as I do!!! ... show more

  • Kills bugs
Style: 20W Bug Zapper
Got it in 1 day with prime. Sneaky little prim button. I had to make a change and they sneaked a free 30 day offer right back in the order I didn't see it and ended up with it so I thought I'd order something to see if it really came in 1 day. Dam if it didn't happen. The unit works but I'm pretty sure all the flys and misquotes know that color of light and it means no bueno. I saw a fly sitting on top of it waving at me to stick my finger in. I did. It hurt. Don't do that. Makes very loud popping noise when I plinked that fly in. Smells like barb-b-que but tastes like chicken. Don't eat the flys. ... show more

  • Not efficient killing gnats.
Style: 40WBug Zapper
Great looking and operating well except I purchased it for house gnats/fruit flies, I can't tell the difference. I believe thhe advertisement indicated it would kill flying insects including mosquitoes. I also baited it with fruit, apple cider vinegar, and wine in the tray. Even then it doesn't attract gnats/fruit flies. Very few kills. Tried it with other lights on and with all other lights off. It probably works better on other flying insects. ... show more

  • Works
Style: 20w Bug Zapper+2Bulbs
This bug catcher is for indoors. It works and zap sounds each kill. I've taken it outside only temporary around sundown as our area infested with mosquitoes. It was zaping one every few seconds. This will enable work or sitting outside that was just about impossible before. Extra bulbs enclosed. Sort of a black light effect on clothing. Care to not get it wet. It has no real feet so can tip if not hung. Our bugs are toe biter no see ems. So I use on the ground. ... show more

  • "Abandon all hope ye who enter here: the boxelder horde knows only victory." Until, that is, today.
Style: 40WBug Zapper
Life, tenacious yet fleeting, blossoms where it pleases, and comes as readily a gift as it does a curse. I was reminded of this as I beheld with bitter defeat the walls and floor and window of my basement claimed by the swarm, now the established abode of dozens of everlasting beetles bedecked in vermillion and black that crawled, day and night over carpet and ceiling, flitting about as they pleased, greeting each mammalian visitor with their tickling feet, as if to say "you don't belong here anymore, go back where you came from and forget this place you once knew." The swarm knew no number: as the Lernaean serpent that, upon tasting death, sprang forth anew with yet greater vitality, so too the horde that had claimed my basement continued, unnoticed, about its unknowable business, oblivious to my efforts to effect its extinction. Such trifles as diatomaceous earth, pump-sprayed soap water, or vacuum left no mark on its number, fading into memory as soon as I, their wielder, would cease my fruitless labor. And so the occupation continued, driving me, and certainly any guests I might hope to entertain, from my subterranean domain. That is, until I turned to the light. Its hollow purple gaze did not betray its strength. Not with the radiance of a thousand suns did shine this mighty one, but rather it sat, quietly, waiting. Beckoning, as if to say "you are strong, insect, but I am beyond strength. I am inevitable; I am the end, and as I have come for you, now come ye to me." And no sooner would one of the numberless legion descend upon its silver web than the silence would split with the snapping jaws of death and a yellow, flashing spark, and the entomoid challenger would curl, lifeless, giving up its spirit in a wisp of smoke, offering its flesh as acrid incense to the strange dark shine that had devoured it. I watched it take the first dozen or so, mystified, as the infinitesimal seeds of hope began to stir deep within me, hope that this strange one hailing from the fires of industry might somehow stem the bloom of vermin, and then I retreated upstairs, leaving it to its work. I had to go, as the thunderous cracks of golden plasma were causing my ears to ring, and I could see that my presence was not needed. For two days I left the light alone to its labors, until the sound of its snapping jaws had slowed to become occasional. And then I descended the basement stairs in a hush, to survey the carnage. And carnage it was: dozens, nay, hundreds of fried corpses lay in waves bathed in lilac radiance, and where once the crawling ones churned throughout the room indifferent to my displeasure, now they lay in the stillness of death, concentrated around their Extinguisher, some in pieces, to tread my walls no more. The light did not take all of them. Still I might find one here, two there, easily destroyed by hand. But the once-undying horde is now reduced to a decimal of its former terror, now a pathetic nuisance to be brushed away, and the basement is mine once more. ... show more
