This drum set is awesome for the price. I purchased it for training for my son and husband. It was easily assembled although it took about an hour and a half to two hours. It is very loud and excellent quality. My neighbors asked us if we got a drum set cause they could hear them next door.

I wanted to get back into drumming after many years off from playing in a school band. I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I researched beginner sets and Ashthrope fit the bill. For the money it's a decent set, except the cymbals are really cheap even for "upgraded". So, I ordered all new quality cymbals, hundreds more, but now a good set of drums. Their CS is very poor since I contacted them over a week ago and no response. Food for thought! ... show more

He seems to be enjoying them and the sound seems to be good quality to me. My husband was able to put them together and tune them pretty easily. We tunes them to ear for now.
