Possibly ok to use for very small & minor repairs, but all things considered, IMHO, pretty much useless. Have to go over the same area, multiple times to achieve even the weakest stitching . Basically a waste of money

I really like the product and how it works. If you follow the instructions you have no problem. The only thing they needed to do was put in different colored bobbins. That would have made the product. White sometimes only just doesn't cut it.

Ths item didn't work when I received, but seller was quick to issue refund with no problem. I was really hoping this was gonna be a good but to be a quick fix of a few shirts, but I guess I'll have to sew them "old school" style🤷

    • Useless Sewing Machine
When this sewing machine arrived it was damaged beyond repair. Its previous owner had broken it and then made a mess of attempts to repair it. One plastic part had broken off completely and the previous owner's attempt to melt the part back into place just made a mess of that part. The two halves of the sewing machine body were not snug because the previous owner had overtightened the screws and stripped out the plastic. One screw was missing. The interior of the battery well was missing the bottom battery contact, which meant that no electricity could reach the electric motor of the machine. The outside of the machine was filthy when it arrived. I tossed the useless thing into the wastebasket. I bought a new Singer version at Kmart. ... show more

    • Handy Stitch... not so handy
Item was advertised as used so I should have expected that not all the pieces would be there, that was my fault. The Handy Stitch isn't the greatest, if you don't have a phobia of sewing machines I would suggest just a regular one. The angle is really awkward, only works for right handed people, and has a very small opening. Just big enough to hem denim jeans I suppose. The user wrapped it very carefully and made it look pretty =) I gave a star back because of the TLC that was put into the shipping! ... show more

when it the sewing machine arrived, there were 3 batteries in the battery compartment, with one having already corroded and had leaked acid onto the cover plate. I haven't thee batteries to test to see if it still works or not but i'd rather have been given one that did NOT have batteries just sitting inside it for over a year. ... show more

This is OK for quick stitches only and only one directional. It tends to catch if it cannot feed the material. The retailer however was responsive and quick. I would certainly purchase and deal with them again.
