This is a great product especially for beginners. I got for my daughter Christmas and she is really enjoying learning how to use it. I should also mention it is easy to learn. I like how much material came with the sewing machine. There are five stitch settings these help with straight stitches and any other types of stitches! it came with foot petal, power chord, multiple colored bobbins, needles of different sizes, tape measure, stitch remover, mini scissors, little storage bin on the side, pin cushion and the pins. It also has a light that shines right where the person has their hands just for visual purposes. 10/10 would buy again and recommend! 😁 ... show more

We decided to buy this for my 10yo daughter as a gift. I wasn’t sure if sewing was going to be something she really liked or just a one day only toy. Turns out she LOVED sewing but unfortunately the machine did not hold up. Bent needle first day and thread kept breaking next couple days. Tried to fix it but I gave up. Returning it tomorrow and buying her a better quality machine. I would say ok buy for a kid that wasn’t trying to become a serious sewer. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Wanted to like it, it was easy for my kiddo, loves the speed control, and super cute. However, the needle catches behind the bobbin housing (instead of moving in front) and breaks needles, breaks thread, and constantly gets stuck. This is definitely a cute-looking sewing machine. The color is a pretty lilac, and - if you follow the instruction manual closely - this will do all the basics: Straight stitching and zigzag, going forward and back. It comes with a remarkably complete set of accessories, including threads, extra bobbins, and even glass-head pins. The instruction manual is one of the most thorough I've ever seen with a sewing machine of any size. In text and illustrations, it covers every question you're likely to have. That's impressive. In addition, this has most of the features of a full-sized sewing machine, too, with tension adjustments and a light you can turn on to see what you're sewing, in low-light conditions. There are also multiple options for the machine, such as a couple of places to put different sized spools (or bobbins) of thread on the upper part of the machine, and a button that activates the needle as the foot pedal does. It's a small machine, with an optional plate that expands the surface that supports whatever you're sewing... as long as it's small or light (preferably both). This sewing machine was also made of plastic, where possible, so it's noisy (clatters when sewing). For me - it's a little difficult to get past the idea that this is seems like a toy sewing machine, in some ways. For example, if you're accustomed to sewing on full-size sewing machines made of heavier materials, it's easy to knock this over when turning or twisting the fabric you're sewing on. Despite that, this is a functional sewing machine and it'll handle most small or light projects. This may be excellent for teaching a pre-teen how to use a sewing machine. But, because the machine can tip over easily and the sewing speed can be a little unpredictable (due to a very small foot pedal), a child might lose patience or think they're doing something wrong... when it's simply the limitations of a machine like this. In my opinion, this little machine is ideal to keep in a closet in your cabin or vacation home, for quick and easy sewing tasks you'd rather not do by hand. It won't replace a household sewing machine, and it's a bit large to toss into a suitcase so you can do machine sewing when you're on vacation. However, for specific purposes where quick, fast sewing is needed, or for teaching a pre-teen to sew, it's pretty good. I wouldn't call this a "toy," but I also wouldn't use it for large, heavy projects. I'm giving this four stars because the design and features are far above what I'd expect from a little machine like this. If you're not expecting a large range of options - or the stability - of a full-sized machine, this is a good choice. ... show more

Super cute and easily portable. Comes with all the basics. My daughter has been begging me to teach her to see. This is good for beginners. It’s been years since I’ve used a sewing machine. I struggled at first and found it frustrating as the thread was bunching and breaking. After I watched a lot of tutorial videos, it got easier to use. My daughter is 10 and with my help she was able to get the hang of the machine after a couple attempts. It came with alot of extra which helped because se had none of that at home. We would definitely recommend.
