Only thing is - it is small. You can only cook 2 cups of rice in it max. I only cook 1 and a half cups and I have leftover. However ; if you are feeding more than 2 people , just be advised that this size cooker will not be your best choice . One more thing to note : while the rice is cooking the steam lets out a small puddle to the side of the pot - nothing to worry about but do place a couple of paper towels under it . So that's it . I'm very very happy with my rice cooker!!!! It's light pink and super small and cooks the rice exactly the way I like it - not too mushy and not grainy. PERFECTLY soft , semi-mushy rice !! after a little it automatically turns on to warm instead of cook which i like because im a little forgetful. requires a little longer than package directions but this could just be because of where i live. the only thing i dislike is that i cant leave it plugged in somewhere as there is no on/off switch, it just turns on when you plug it in; otherwise its very nice and easy to use, honestly serves two servings. ... show more

Compared to my mom's humongous 8 cup rice cooker, this Aroma one from Amazon looked like a cute little toy but it cooked my jasmine rice perfectly! I rinsed two cups of rice a couple of times, drained the rice, and added chicken broth to the pot; then I added in chopped dried apricots and roasted peanuts/walnuts. Yum. The only complaint about it happens to be the hard to read number "2" inside the cooking pot. The "2" dash limits the level of broth for the 2 cups of rice. Otherwise, I am very pleased with my purchase. The simple lever to start the cooking process is easy and the glass lid makes the process fun to watch my fluffy rice rise up. I consider cleaning a breeze because of the nonstick pot. The sage green color compliments my cream/tan/brown kitchen decor too. A happy customer. :-) ... show more

We have a small kitchen so this mini rice cooker is the perfect size. The other one we had that was the same size as this one cooked half the amount of rice, so I love the cooking capacity of this. I struggle to make rice, so someone suggested I try a rice maker. This unit is very easy to use and makes a decent rice. But I find that once it is done cooking, I should not leave it on warm as it tends to cook and brown on the bottom. I now take it off the unit immediately and fluff the rice, which is done to perfection. As a senior, I sometimes mess up so it is important to put in the correct amount of water for the amount of rice. It is hard to see the measurements inside the cooking pan. I like to add a little oil to the water to help keep the kernels separated. It does not take long to cook rice, so if I need a larger quantity, a second batch will cook up quickly. ... show more
