Aside from having two kitties of my own I also spent about 10 years working in animal welfare and have done my fair share of litter scooping. This is by far the best litter I've ever used. It holds true to it's claim of keeping odor at bay for 14 days and it clumps incredibly well. It's also a great value for how long it lasts. Kitties have had no complaints and I haven't received any surprise presents next to the box because the contents didn't meet my very specific kitties standards. Highly recommend! ... show more

I had been using Dr. Elsey litter for a couple of years but it's dusty, comes in a hard to handle 40 pound plastic bag that my cats love to rip open when I'm not looking and you can NEVER get a deal on it anymore. It's 17.49 everywhere - almost like it was price-fixed at the end of 2017 across the board on Amazon, Chewy and Pet Smart. This a review for the Arm and Hammer Clump and Seal so I'll get on with that but you needed to know what changed my mind to use this product and not Dr. Elsey Pro -Very fine consistency, almost like coarse golf course bunker sand. That means it sifts effortlessly which reduces dust because you don't have to shake the litter sifter. -Comes in a cardboard box with a strap handle, NOT a plastic bag like Dr. Elsey. That makes Clump and Seal easier to transport, store, pour and the packaging is cat proof. I have to leave the Dr. Elsey litter in the Amazon shipping boxes to cat-proof them in my house. If you take the Dr. Elsey litter out of the box, it looks like you're storing sand bags and the 40 pound bags are really hard for my wife to handle -Clumps well and doesn't "epoxy" itself to the bottom of the litter box like Dr. Elsey litter. -The "tracking" of the litter by my cats outside the litter box has dropped 75% since I changed from Dr. Elsey litter. The Dr. Elsey litter turns to glue when it gets remotely damp and it sticks to the cats feet, the Arm and Hammer does not hence the great reduction in litter outside the box -Cleans up far easier than Dr. Elsey. When it's time to change and was wash the litter box, the finer granules of the Arm and Hammer product are easier to remove from the litter box and they don't glue to the box when damp like the Dr. Elesy product -I can go three weeks between litter box washing. I clean daily (2 cats) and add new litter as needed but the Arm and Hammer product does not smell at all after 2 weeks. That fact makes the Arm and Hammer product cheaper than Dr. Elsey. Con (not really "cons", more like observations about other customers "cons") -Many of the 1 star reviews are about the odor of this litter. It has an odor but it's not bad. It's better than the smell of cat crap. But if you are odor intolerant, you might not like this product but it doesn't bother me -Clump and Seal appears pricey. I only buy it when I can get a coupon deal because $24.99 IS pricey. Knock off $2 and add in the fact that you can use less of this product than Dr. Elsey due to the smaller granule size and it's about the same price as the now "price-fixed" Dr. Elsey litter. This litter is exclusive to Amazon with the "Platinum" label. It's still Clump & Seal which is by far the best litter my family has used for our cats for odor control. Assuming you are scooping litter several times a day, and cleaning the litter box completely every two weeks, this litter works great for controlling odors. TIP: Let the litter have about an hour to absorb urine and the clumps are easy to pick and bag up without breaking apart. Add a little bit of litter each time you scoop to replace what you took away and you're good to go! The only issue we've ever had with this litter is it clumps a little too well, and if our cat sits a bit to close to it while urinating, he can get it clumped on his fur or feet, and then it can be a challenge to get off his fur. But he doesn't smell as this stuff seals the odor! It is a bit more expensive than other litters, but it works very well. I bought two of these boxes and they arrived in separate shipped boxes - each from Amazon, but both packaged differently. Both very heavy. One did not have its seal in tact and leaked. I tried to contact customer service and got the circle around with a bot. The only option offered was a return and that made no sense as they wanted to charge me for shipping it back to them for a replacement - and the box I had would have leaked. SO... I don't intend to buy this litter (or any other) from Amazon again, but I will continue to use the Clump & Seal and recommend it to other cat owners too. ... show more

Works great with the clumping, Smells decent but still some odor left behind, I wish that they had bigger boxes at least 25 pounds for two kitties 🐈⬛😻 I recommend this cat litter works pretty well for one cat only.

Yall. This litter is bombbb. I've owned cats, reptiles, ferrets, you name it. I'm super funny about someone walking into my home and not being able to tell what else lives with me. For years I've used Naturally Fresh walnut litter bc it clumps super good and doesn't leave that clay like residue most cat litters leave on the ground. With that being said, I've vacuumed twice a day, erryday, for years bc of how easily it's tracked through the house. And when that litter box is full, the litter no longer holds any smell barrier. It's a wrap! It stanks! No visitors for an hour while I poop scoop and allow the dust to settle before letting someone come into my house. This litter, this litter right hereee, is BOMB. Smells like dag on deodorant after a full litter box. And I haven't vacuumed but once this week and it's already Tuesday! I can walk around barefoot and not pick up chunks of cat litter stuck to my feet. And no dust!! If you're a clean freak, u know what I mean by dust. I will definitely continue to buy this litter. If I could rate 6 stars, I would. If your doubtful, try it once. Bet it won't be the last time u purchase it. ... show more
