The zero turn mower is mostly what I expected but the seat is rather narrow and on a slight incline my leg rests on the side metal where the power buttons are, and that is uncomfortable.

    • 1st time and it's leaking oil already
a product over $4000 should not leak upon first time use. The seller would not help because it's past 30 days. The manufacture would not honor warranty because it was bought through a 3rd party seller here on Amazon. Please know if the seller purchased through liquidation and sells to the customer, warranty is null. We are a non profit and now we are stuck with a machine with no funds to fix it. ... show more

    • Many premium features for the money
Well constructed mower. I appreciated the heavy duty deck as I tend to run into obstacles occasionally. It does, however, get stuck easily in my sandy soil in even gentle turns and reversals. This may be a characteristic of zero turn mowers but I have never owned one before. If you have sandy soil, do not buy this mower. ... show more

    • This is one of the best zero turns out there
I own this mower, and could not be happier. I researched them all, and looked at many. I was set on a Cub Cadet because I loved the sleek look of it, but was advised to look at the Ariens brand for reliability and when I sat on this I immediately felt the quality over all the others I looked at. All the metal parts, including the deck, are made of thick material. I’m not a big fan of the orange color, but I bought it to mow with, not to drive up and down the strip of Vegas. I can mow at 7 mph and still get a really great cut. I mowed an abandoned house next door where the grass was over knee high, and it didn’t slug down at all. Do your own research, this is one of the few where it’s hard to find anyone that has anything bad to say about it. I have a neighbor that has owned an Ariens for over 20 years and he has only had to replace the typical parts like tires and belts. I have no dog in this fight, I just wanted to share my experience for others who are looking into this model. I know what drudgery it can be researching these and settling on one, this one won’t disappoint you! Oh, it comes with an hour meter built in, many others don’t. It doesn’t not include the floor mat or a hitch but I found both of those for less than $55 elsewhere for both items so don’t let that be a dealbreaker. The floor mat is $40 shipped from Ariens and an aftermarket hitch can be found here on Amazon for a few bucks ... show more
